I agree with you, Our immigration law should be the same as Mexicos. And we should have the same laws in regards to birth right citizenship as Mexico as well.

TAPACHULA, Mexico, June 11 — Quiet as it is kept in political circles, Mexico, so much the focus of the United States' immigration debate, has its own set of immigration problems. And as elected officials from President Vicente Fox on down denounce Washington's plans to deploy troops and build more walls along the United States border, Mexico has begun a re-examination of its own policies and prejudices.
Here at Mexico's own southern edge, Guatemalans cross legally and illegally to do jobs that Mexicans departing for the north no longer want. And hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from nearly two dozen other countries, including China, Ecuador, Cuba and Somalia, pass through on their way to the United States.
Dense jungle makes establishing an effective law enforcement presence along the line impossible. Crossing the border is often as easy as hopping a fence or rafting for 10 minutes. But, under pressure from the United States, Mexico has steadily increased checkpoints along highways at the border including several posts with military forces.
The Mexican authorities report that detentions and deportations have risen in the past four years by an estimated 74 percent, to 240,000, nearly half along the southern border. But they acknowledged there had also been a boom in immigrant smuggling and increased incidents of abuses and attacks by corrupt law enforcement officials, vigilantes and bandits. Meanwhile, the waves of migrants continue to grow.
Few politicians have made public speeches about such matters. But Deputy Foreign Minister Gerónimo Gutiérrez recently acknowledged that Mexico's immigration laws were "tougher than those being contemplated by the United States," where the authorities caught 1.5 million people illegally crossing the Mexican border last year. He spoke before a congressional panel to discuss "Mexico in the Face of the Migratory Phenomenon."

Post the NY times article again Kynes, twice is clearly not enough. A boom in people smuggling and increased incidence of abuses and attacks by corrupt law enforcement officials, vigilantes and bandits, even if acknowledge by the deputy foreign minister, is hardly the same as what he said. Thus my retort to him, that such has not been commonplace in two decades, does not require your NY times link.

You can link it again though if you must. I really don't care if mouth breathing teabillies are afraid to come to Mexico.
 
Here is an article from NY times about Merica. Scary thing is, this doesn't include immigrants, who are mostly deported. This is 1% of the population (citizens) who are imprisoned at taxpayer expense.

mexico's southern border is an armed camp, they dont want guatties swarming across their border any more than we want mexicans swarming ours.

further, the mexican government is encouraging mestisos to cross the border to the USA, while pushing for a eugenicist racial ideal in mexico.
by eliminating the mestisos they believe they can create the imaginary european nation they portray themselves as on Telemundo.

This should be talked about daily..We should do what Mexico does on there southern border and keep it simple....Then Mexico can take all the credit for knowing whats best for immigrants...I would vote for that...

Wrong. Also offensive. If you want people to stop calling you a bigot, stop using offensive words to refer to them.

Despite Mexico's population being around 115 million people, the majority of immigrants arriving in the US via the Mexican border actually come from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala despite that the combined population of these nations is 28 million. This is compounded by the fact that the majority of Mexican immigrants do not stay in the US for more than a period of weeks. I know they all look the same to you, but try and keep up. Also bear in mind that almost half of the US territory was stolen from Mexico and all of it was stolen from a native population of over 80 million people, so you're the interloper.

It wasnt designed to stop people. They really dont give a shit too much about the illegals, they need them to pick their crops (go figure) and they are passing thru. The fence everyone is yammering about blocks off a major route of contraband and is designed to funnel people thru a border checkpoint. It dont work for shit. The Southern Mexico border is 541 miles long. The Mexicans charge the illegals 1.50 to use a zip line that goes underneath a bridge where they built that wall.

So do you want to be like Mexico?
