don't you think that losing your health insurance would cause you pain? i mean, employer health insurance is how we do it in this nation, much like germany and switzerland. it costs a lot more if you work min wage with no bennies like kynes and have to buy your own privately.
well, now the gov is stepping in to help folks like kynes be able to afford health insurance. if he is truly low income with min wage and no bennies, the gov now plays the role of the employer and covers the other part of his health insurance. he can not be forced to pay more than is fair just because he is unemployed.
does nothing to address the real concern of rising health care costs (besides getting more people in the pool and minimizing administrative costs etc), but it does help people who otherwise couldn't get care. and it holds those who could but don't responsible.
