I think you are confusing Mormons with Jehovah's Witnesses who believe 144,000 people are all that's getting into heaven.

What part of the word celibate are you not grasping? As in, no homosexual activity or actions. The doctrine doesn't condemn gay people. It condemns sexual activity outside of marriage.
