Ocean Forest / Happy Tree Frog Pre-Amendments * Need help planning my next Auto * Need the Communities Help!!!

I'm sitting on a few boxes of DTE products, specifically talking about Langbeinite and Bone Fish Meal. I bought both products because of the NPK, also have the Sea Bird Guano @ P/12

I'm only on Autoflowers and didn't realize that it takes an entire month for Blood Fish Meal to become available and the same goes for the Langbeinite. So my questions are as follows;

Can I amend the Ocean Forest with the Langbeinite and Blood Fish Meal before planting a seed or;

Is it just better to top dress both at the start of the first to second week?

The entire line up of products that I own are the 4-4-4 mix and the Flower mix from DTE

Lang, Bone Fish Meal, Bio-Live, Alfalfa Meal, Kelp Meal, Dolomite Lime,

Also have some Recharge left and 3/4 of Molasses Unsulfered.

Also have half a bag of 2cu OF and a little bit over 3/4s of Happy Tree Frog 12 quartz.

Sicilia as well but forgot the brand.

I'm attempting to plan my next Auto, I have a habit of shoving so many plants under a light without consideration, this time around I want to do just one so I can super focus on her. I looked @ Build-a-Flower and other products that are Autocentric. I've been learning throughout two years of fuck ups but as previously stated in another post, things got better and better but I feel defeated and decided to ask for help with the planning. Please also take note, besides the products mentioned, I have literally two Root Organics Veg and Bloom Terp Teas and a few bottles of Fox Farm.

Hoping for some encouragement and motivations to start immediately.

I'd just start top dressing with the dry amendments a couple weeks after you plant in the new FFOF.

And Langbeinite doesn't take a full month to become usable. A lot of it's water soluble, so it breaks down faster. I'm a big fan of it though.

Here is an older thread with some great info about various organic amendments and soil mixes. It's good to use a recipe if you can, let others do the experimentation for you and start with a mix you know is balanced. Be careful with langbeinite, it's very potent and you can easily overdo K with it if you have a heavy hand with amendments. https://www.icmag.com/threads/organics-for-beginners.48694/

I'd be careful adding single ingredient amendments that are very high in single NPK values. You can get your soil all out of whack. If you have to ask if you can use it then you should probably be careful. You would be fine just using the soil and the 4-4-4.

Also, I think you mean Blood Meal not Blood Fish Meal. Blood meal is easy to overuse and end up with too much nitrogen.

You seem to have gotten all this stuff to put on your plants and want to use it. You need to use it correctly. The 4-4-4 has Langbeinite in it. I wouldn't use Langbeinite unless you were mixing your own soil from scratch.

My bad, Fish Bone Meal. ^^^ Will correct.

I was wondering if there's any soils that are empty of nutrients that'll allow me to make my own soil? I have two 3 Gallon with Soil from the previous grow. Don't know if I should use that instead.

Quick question, cause I have the mentioned nutrients in 5 lb cause it was cheap at the time, so instead of regretting it, would you say that it's feasible to use the Seabird Guano, Fish Bone Meal and/or Langbeinite as a Compost Tea?

Just trying to sort all this out.

What's your water like? PPM? Ect..

I'd leave out the lime if it was me. The fish bone meal has plenty of Ca and the Langbeinite has the Mg.

But better yet is to just use the Bio Live only for now.

I'd save that stuff for later. The Bio Live already has the FBM and Sul-Po-Mag. The seabird guano can be used a little in flower with a tiny bit of Langbeinite if the plant wants more P and K.

Be careful with both those though. What I like to do with the seabird guano is to mix it with some ewc and keep it moist to let it cook for a few days or so. Then there's less chance of burning the roots. Sometimes the mix will get over 100 degrees for a day or so. I don't always precook it, but I've had pistils burn using straight seabird top dressing.

I just mix whatever I'm gonna give them with a little EWC and pumice and if it's something that gets hot like seabird guano I kinda cook it a bit first. I don't always mix it with EWC though. The other day I just through Craft Blend, Peruvian bat guano, and a little Langbeinite on one.

So when you say EWC, " Earth Worm Castings? " So mix the dry stuff with the EWC in a tub and leave it moist? I'm confused but I think i get the jist. If that's the case, what would a feeding schedule look like for an Autoflower? If I mix the Happy Tree Frog/OF and just amendment it @ 30 days with EWC mixed with the above mention " If needed " ?

I appreciate the time you're taking to kindly explain these things!!!

Ya, you don't have to mix it with the EWC first, but I do with some stuff. You can also put EWC on top of the top dressing, but you don't have to do that either. But it's good to add EWC when you topdress. Like I said though, I don't always do it. You want to get some EWC though regardless if you don't have any. Don't get the yellow bag from Home Depot though. At least find Wiggle Worm or better. Something local preferably.

I'd just use the FFOF straight, or better yet add some more perlite or pumice to it first. And You could do the same with the FFHF for more sensitive plants or clones. Or starting seeds, etc. But you could mix them too if you want. It'll all work.

Omg you're saving me months of hunting for information!

Okay so let me get this straight, I can, top dress and feed the Earth Worm Casting every week?

And if I mix the EWC with the other amendments on often if I needed pre-cook the EWC?

Pretty much. But you don't have to precook it first, I just do it sometimes. And ya, if you give little doses each week that's safer than bigger doses less often. But just start with the Bio Live and EWC. That stuff I wouldn't worry much about precooking, but I've never used it.

You can definitely reuse old soil. If you want something empty of nutrients many people start with promix which is just peat and perlite.

Yeah I've been throwing mines away but I'm going to figure something out and get a bin to dump used up soil and use that to experiment with recipes.
