OG Kush: Reserva Privada or Cali Connection or Dr. Greenthumb

I grew out a pack of Cali Connection Tahoe OG and was very dissapointed. I was bland in taste (no lemon/kerosine funk at all), very low yield (1oz per plant avg), 93 days to flower (cloudy trichs). The worst part was the buzz lasted a grand total of 30 mins. I was really excited about growing this strain, unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to grow it out. Julius Caesar was far superior.

I just started a chem91 reg from CC, and love the larry clone I got from a club, dont think its the clone only, it has a sweet taste in there somewhere, like bland mango, but love the larry for anti-nasea, I have a fem RP ogkush laying around and now going to sprout, like rite now. and thank you brother of all the reports, this one rung the bell, im dewing a few grows on here now, thx.

You should try Dr. Greenthumbs Niagara strain, or his Niagara VE or his exotic sativas... Or Huron maybe, another great strain of his.

Greenthumb was thrown out of his forum, at heaven's stairway, because of all the complaints on the above strains I mentioned.

I've grown Niagara, it's worthless. Greenthumb's story about how he took Niagara to Holland and all the Dutch set up and took notice (story is still prolly on his site) is totally nuts.

He might have some better strains now, but my advice, is: know who your dealing with!

Ive had sad results with RP beans popping when they should also, itd be different if i had fugas nats an just poor surroundings. But that isnt the case. Both Kosher an 18 popped poorly. Im not bashing the boys in noway, who knows how long the tude had these sitting around. CC Does make reversed sexed fems from a tahoe male if that helps anyone an from what ive seen their very healthy beans. Ive never used DrGTs stuff so i cant speak up on his gear, I see there very costly though. Give CC a try I think You'll be happy. It was a bummer getting 2 koshers an 1 18 from the RP boys. Maybe some day I'll try there gear again, but Ill wait till i hear about them popping better. Even my yrs ago the L/S popped poorly. take care EVERYBODY..

How's the smoke on that pheno? Reserva's OG is my favorite strain but the pheno I liked best is a stemmy mess compared to yours, not to mention you have actual colas, mine just throws golfball. Damn good nuggets though!

I knoe that cali connects larry og kush ain't larry og. Its been crossed with sfv og kush. Riot seeds have some real og kush hits.. dr greenthumb has some killer strains but I think its worth it if you find a keeper

Hmmm a Kush fan hey? Well as long as you don't go fem Cali Connection's a good bet. The SFV is the Tahoe line, pretty damn dank and most crosses with it end up awesome too.
Out of all his beans, for that chemical DANK I like from a 'kush' try the DeadHead OG. It's a killer combo, Chemdawg's original Chem clone crossed out with Swerve's Tahoe... Pure lemony fuel DANK dude.
Otherwise do some shopping at SinCity Seeds or Subcool. EVERYBODY that grows out their gear is super happy. I just placed an order for SinCity's LVBK. All you need is one look at it and it settles the decision for me hey...

OH Reserva Privada... Go for the Holy Grail Kush. You will NOT be disappointed.

I live in so cal and have had access to and have grown some very nice OG's and when looking at seeds I'd like to order I tend to look towards Cali Conection & OGRaskel, Reserve Privada and been looking at the Graddaddy line lately because Ive liked the smokes I've had of these strains and have known people that have done these strains. I also know about the 'issues' that people talk about with swerves gear, but I've not Known anyone personally that has grown his gear that told me they had these issues and I've know a few people that have done several strains of his and so far, no issues with my budha tahoe that is right around 5weeks in flower right now.

Old thread. Mr Headie is totally right though the various chem 91: Skunk Va, Docta, Apothecary...all sativa but with a little indica influence. Chems sister, Chem D, Chem 3, Chem 4...all hardcore sativa. If you've grown the cuts you'll know. The chem d and chem 4 look like theres no indica influence at all. Im speaking from the unadulterated cuts that went around socal at PNC, Progressive Options etc. Swerves crosses for Cali Connect have a little affie in them but they still show sativa. That chem 4 og is a beast. Cant wait to pop my boss hogg! As for the people giving wyteberry widow shit. He is on the money. Greenthumbs Og and Katsu are dank but they don't stand up to the original bubba, the pre 98/CC or any of the og clones: tahoe, sfv, larry, ghost, poison, faceoff, xxx. He has it right. Dr Greenthumbs seeds are a little beefier but the genetics aren't quite as good imho. If you're not good at germination then by all mean go Greenthumb. Og didn't come from chemdawg it came from some sfv growers and Swerve will debate that tahoe was first but I remember when Swerve got his Granada Hills cut around 2001 and it had been in circles there for 5-6 years prior. The bubba from the same crew decimates all other bubbas and I think Swerve has that momma too. I've popped tahoe, chem 4, chem valley and deadhead. All dank, no hermies ever. I think I've had 3 males out of 40 seeds. I think the hermies are in the fem'd lines but I don't mess with fem'd stuuf other than a couple DNA strains...I was forced since they didn't offer regs. OG 18...dank. But not as good as CC.
