I've had my FireStick 4K for a couple of days now. Im a Prime Member already, so I get a lot of extra free stuff. I've listened to music, watched local news, got free Netflix... I think I can live with this! Worst case, I pay 11.99 a month for a Paramount+ bundle and Im good.
I think I'm gonna get one and jailbreak it. I'm gonna need to get a VPN then for sure. Are you gonna jailbreak yours?

I haven’t used cable, or any service for that matter probably since ‘05. I used hosting sites like putlocker, after a while.. the sites get taken down, or moved. However, nowadays these site genies will only pop up with another extension.
The 2 I’ve relied on the most lately are dopebox(dot)to & soap2day(dot)ac
I run it from my laptop to the TV via hdmi connection.

Minimum requirements I would say are needed when using the site:
1.)Use google chrome for a browser
2.)Install Adblock extension on the browser.
3.)not be gullible to pop ups (if they happen to slip by Adblock) just X them out.
TV shows new & old
Same goes for movies.
some of the newest movies are uploaded in Cam quality, but a lot are uploaded straight to HD.

Nothing is required to download.

Currently watching season 2 of The Mandalorian as I type this. :eyesmoke:

Edit: I use “Stream2watch(dot)me” to watch sporting events, and live tv occasionally.
heavy caution with the pop ups on that site. It’s brutal at times.

I also know how to dig into my computer if anything were to ever go wrong. (Virus wise)

Most people that cut the cord with cable, Dish, etc... realize that they don't miss it. There's too much stuff out there for free. Once I cut the cord I started watching all kinds of documentaries, history, etc... for free on youtube. There is a ton of stuff. That might not work for those that like a different type of programming. I like watching educational stuff which you can't get on cable anymore as all the channels have gone to fake reality TV.
Plus there are a ton of free options full of the same rerun movies and shows available on cable.

Yeah.. I've just kept it in on FireStick.... plenty to watch. I just ordered an 800 mile OTA digital antenna to get the big 3 plus FOX... so I think with all that free stuff, I'll be good.

The antenna should work good in the flats, but up here they suck ass. Too many mountains around that interferes with the signals.

I get the big 3, FOX and 50 other channels with the digital antenna.

If you have a Samsung smart TV you get their TV Plus that has around 250 channels. Mostly junk but I've come across some channels with content I'll watch.

As long as you get FOX you're all good,
I get the FOX network not FOX news. I don't get any of the cable news channels and that's fine. I stopped watching that stuff years ago. The only channel I miss is the Weather Channel. I'm going to miss watching Jim Cantore reporting from the eye of a hurricane or standing in the middle of a blizzard screaming about Thunder Snow.

JAYSUS CHRIST ON A CRACKER!!!.. still on hold at hour 1 with Dish trying to cancel service. They charged my Dad $500 to cancel... bastards! He had an account here, and one in Mesa. $200 each unit, plus $100 return fee on equipment.

I figured out a trick a long time ago to deal with those robots. I just said "cheeseburger" over and over and when it couldn't figure it out it'd connect me to a real person named Steve. Anytime I call DIRECTV I just say "cancel service" over and over. I am immediately connected and they want to give me free shit, lol.
Yeah... me too.. but didn't work this time. I think they came up with protocol since thier malware attack. They knew they were going to get overloaded with phone calls, cancellations, etc.
