The Federal Government has already decriminalized pot in US area`s, it will be difficult to use the Federal laws to proceed.
If OK and NB police have used up reserve $$ chasing fines that will bring in less than the cost of courts for pot arrests, shy away from pot busting. Let it go, only enforce the danger to society/public. It`s not that big a deal.

The private prison industry is huge in OK. The governor is known for being financially backed by the prison industry also. Besides the pharma industry, prisons profit the most from prohibition. It's my guess the prison industry is behind this on the OK side. The governor of OK will likey either stay silent about this or 'act' like they are against and let the AG do the work and deal with the fallout.

The federal government could take no stance whatsoever on MJ leaving it up to the states to decide for themselves. That seems like the progression we are on anyway.

So far as I know, cannabis being schedule 1 is not a question for SCOTUS. The DEA, FDA, or president could reschedule it, though I doubt they will.

Schedule 1 not focus of suit but it is the germ of the problem. It's the 800 lb. gorilla in the room and the Supremes will be aware of it. They could use a schedule ruling to decide the case. Or not. Don't count O'bama out on reschedule,especially at end of his term

I think this suit will force a collision on states rights and Schedule 1.
And maybe that's exactly what it will take to get cannabis removed from schedule I. At the least, it brings the subject of scheduling to the discussion. And it's discussion that's needed.
