I've gone into many oklahoma dispensaries and I mostly buy rosin or bho but have tried flower in a few. Anyways they always have the thc, and terp % marked on the jar these numbers cannot be right I have only been impressed 1 time. I bought inzane in the membrane flower from backroom organics on sw 59th and I 35 service road. They are closed now, anyways I heard some commercial growers talking in my local htg grow store and they were bragging on there new trimming machine which sprays co2 while trimming your buds making a lot of trichomes fall off, he said he rolls a few buds in the dry sift before sending it to be tested. This is unacceptable! On top of this I'm 90% sure it's all been harvested way to early. These people have filled our dispensaries with mediocre product. I think the testing laboratory should be held to a higher standard as well. They can see when trichomes are attached to the plant or not they know when people are on this bullshit but still pass the test. Ithink we need to have an expirament have dispensary products tested and compare the results to their advertised percentages. I guarantee they will not match. Here in the past year they introduced the metrc system idk what this means but, there are several places going out of buisness and I'm hearing this is why.

Thanks man. I gave it my best for 4 years… the market just crushed me to the point that it didn’t make sense to do anymore… the clientele just wanted cheap, crappy weed, and that wasn’t my intention.

Testing labs should go away completely. It's one of those "bad info is worse than no info" situations. In fact most growers deserve to go out of business too. They're mostly all the same. None of the current operations will survive federal legalization. Not a one on the entire North American continent.

Why Cannabis labs are a joke:

THC doesn't matter, at all. See: Distillate. Rap music and weed marketing isn't real kids.

The aroma therapy terpene thing is also a marketing lie. See: Distillate with botanical terps. Doesn't smell like weed, doesn't taste like weed, doesn't feel like weed. Why bother testing for background noise bred into the plant by untrained backyard breeders, while ignoring metabolites actually characteristic of Cannabis aroma taste and effect?

Organic pesticides are just as bad or worse than chemical pesticides. See: Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome. Not sure why "black market" vapes with Vitamin E are bad, but to spray cooking oil jalapeño extract baking powder and fish oil on buds is acceptable.

Anyone who disagrees is delusional or doesn't smoke. One hit off a distillate pen and you know THC testing is pointless. One whiff of any lab tested terpenes and you know that's not what you're smelling in Cannabis. We know what causes couch lock. Most people buying Cannabis see myrcene on the label and pretend they know what couch lock is. Zero correlation to myrcene. Zero couch lock from dispensary bud. The face of getting high has completely changed into getting sick and groggy in the legal setting.

Most commercial growers don't have a clue what they are doing. They all came from grow forums it seems, or got educated by universities sponsored by ag companies. The handful who produce a potentially good product will dry it too wet and cold, then seal it up with no burp. Cannabis is a climacteric herb, meaning it's sensitive to ethylene, and needs to respire oxygen to ripen. More ethylene requires more oxygen. I've not see one single commercial grower who understands basic plant science let alone the intricacies of Cannabis. There is no difference from top to bottom shelf in legal stores. In fact most bottom shelf is better from my observations.

The art of Cannabis would be lost if it wasn't for a handful of large herb empires who are going to take over after federal legalization spreads to the USA. It's going to be nice seeing all these celebrity wannabe state program growers whine about how they didn't have enough money to learn how to produce a product that lasts longer than 3 months on the shelf before turning to hay/dust. The public has to be completely retrained about Cannabis after the bro market has spun all this false narrative to fit their capabilites.

Imagine throwing away orange slices and eating the orange peel. That's how backwards commercial Cannabis is right now. We'll have to force the public into accepting reality. America is a crazy place full of people who care about the color textures and storage temperature of the weed their pressed heated rosin extract comes from. This is why no one in state programs has the super loud bud of yesteryear. The breeders producing it were all bought out. When you understand the false terpene narrative originates from a pharmaceutical company, it should make sense. I don't think Todd McCormick and Jazz Pharmaceuticals are growing the same Skunk #1. Jazz isn't testing their strains for myrcene and limonene, why are all the Todd McCormicks out there? Because someone from Jazz pharmaceuticals (Ethan Russo) told them to lol.

Domestic Cannabis will be luxury Cannabis under federal legalization. You'll be buying that cheap Columbian shit after you lose your job working for Curaleaf. Americas wealth gap is being spread wider and wider. It will be like midevil times in 20 years, peasants shoveling shit in the streets for a gram of Greenhouse Columbo while Dukes and magnates run them down for laughs in self driven carriages.

Thanks... we did do it right. The spectrum of our experience was that people wanted to buy that High Times centerfold weed because it was new to them. Then it shifted to terpenes/hightest THC possible, then as more and more growers came on, the patients started shifting to "cheap" as all of the growers starting cutting each others throats for price to move what we had on hand. 2018-2021, I never had to knock on doors. They came to me. Then last year, I found myself with A LOT of product and no buyers.... and it happened quick. Prices dropped like a rock at the end of 2021. I did one more full run, and shut it down.

The positive aspect of legalization was always going to be people not going to prison. I think almost everyone who is aware of how big business works and how money flows in this country knew that the legal weed market was going to be a shit show before it even got off the ground. The medical market was usually pretty decent and the very early rec market was too before mega corporations and venture capitalists got involved. It's all a race to the bottom from here and the more the market is dominated by soulless stuffed suits the harder they are going to make it on home growers. I'd wager that going forward its going to be increasingly rare to see provisions for personal grows in states entering the rec market. Why let people grow their own when it cuts into that sweet sweet tax revenue?

Grow your own or buy black market. So much weed around, you can get some great deals. Sucks, to have to buy black market in a legal state, but WTF are you going to do? The good news is you can buy black market from plenty of licensed grows. Money talks, bullshit walks. Nothing has changed. Carry on.

All true. Thankfully, as a Patient here in Oklahoma, we can have 6 mature (flowering), and 6 vegging each per household for $50 a year. There's me, my wife, and my parents have a house on my land with the same address, so we can legally grow 24 flowering and 24 vegging. No hiding it, or worry about the cops... they don't care. 24 plants is a fucking lot!... I don't even grow that much for personal. I may do 12 plants a year now, for about 12 lbs... plenty. The commercial side is a complete shit show... glad I don't have to mess with that anymore.

Quality goes down as price goes down. Same thing here in Michigan. People are all kicking themselves for shopping at the dispensaries because many of our connoisseur home growers shut down due to prices crashing so hard and no ones willing to pay $100 for an ounce of premium flowers cause "The dispo has dem for $20/oz".

You get what you pay for, corporate cannabis is trash because they are competing with the black market and each other, they gotta charge low ass prices so the growers are earning low ass wages and therefor use the cheapest possible cultivation methods and care.

Many of us saw this coming, we only have a few dispensaries here that still have some honor and dignity and charge $150/oz and grow their own in-house flower which is actually good. But at $150/oz they are probably still taking a hit considering the quality and cultivars they're working with.

My thought is weed prices should be cheap. It's cheap enough to go buy a gallon of liqour....so an equal amount of "wasted" in a bag should be cheap as the liquor. If it ain't what truly is the point of legalization? I think the whole point is to bring the price down.

I feel sorry for the good growers but let's be honest the weed was never worth 4 or 5k a pound. Was never worth 120 a quarter, no matter how good it was. They were just capitalists, the same as the despo owners. Hell alot of facilities started on the black market and somehow found a way to launder their illegal money into a legal business but if I had 20k to start up the government would have been harassing the shit out of me. Lol

It's a fuckin shit show for sure...but these 350 and 400 dollar ounces of years past did it....200 maybe 250 could have been the sweet spot...but then wealthy people got tired of paying that price and thought well I can just change the laws and open up my own business and this street money can be mine....and they did just that.

Notice how they can break all the laws. In missouri they are talking about sourcing cannabis from illinois (bc missouri is selling out).....now both states are recreational and are next to each other. For regular people we could still face federal charges crossing that border with pot, however a multi million dollar company finds no problems in doing so.

Rules for thee and not for me...
