seems funny. back when we had "skunk" or what ever it was, all the other guys had different varietys of afghan. they were exact opposite of our skunk. short vs tall, sweet tasting vs loud skunk and got done way before the skunk ever did.

They been around along time they were selling seeds through sannies seeds last i checked but idk whats going on with him last i tried his page was down i think there european as well

Now you just need some stinky afghani like balkhi tbh i suspect its balkhi and not actual mazari thats in skunk#1 in the first place they both come from the same region almost if you dig in to it and that has more rank phenos than ive seen in mazari hence my hunch i could be wrong this is just a theory of mine ime mazari has more fruity phenos like apricot etc and balkhi has more rank ones

If you want a skunky strain to grow Secret Valley Seeds Top Dollar is the closet I've come to find that not only smells it but the smell carries over to smoking it... Top Dollar is some DANK SHIT to smoke.. just my .02cents it's not RKS but a very good Skunk strain definitely worth a grow!

Skunk 1 contaminated a lot of landrace populations so skunk dna can be found in most landrace gene pools that were polluted. You could buy skunk seeds by the pounds back in the 90s. So even if the region was the original source you couldn’t be 100% certain.
I can’t really smell thiols, sulphur smells like pepper and chemicals to me. I wonder how much the legend is just one’s nose sensitivity to the compounds.

I have half of that list, haven't tried any of them yet. great deals on quality land race / heirloom strains..

And I'm convinced RKS is/was Super Skunk

We had Skunk all the way back into the 70s here in Ky, before there was a strain called Super Skunk. Long before. My buddy brought what we had from Meigs County Ohio, in 1977-78. From a guy names Keith "noodles"""""" Hayes. He passed in 2020. And as 76 then. He collected seeds from as far back as 1969. And was the creator of Meigs County Gold. He said the skunk he had was Kerala x an unnamed Indica.

Interesting. That's a lot different from what they say is the skunk1 lineage. Could you describe the difference in terms of appearance, smell, high etc? The skunk I want had around '82 with buds were unusually little round marble size. Maybe they came bigger but not the ones I got. I can't say that it looked sativa but who knows. I wouldn't have described it as roadkill like they say now, it just smelled like skunk. Not sweet but if you understand skunk can smell sort of sweet or maybe I would rather say intriguing or beguiling idk. Ultimately it's the high it gave that you want. The smell was just a sign.

Well i can smell my friends house from half a street away and thats with carbon filters lol ig if your nose can smell it its loud they running some skunk seeds that i gave them its some brightside s1s and some skunk special seeds they running rn and tbh the skunk special is out stinking the cheese s1s they got so far its proper catpiss central theres no hiding that its not rks but its still jailbait as hell :bigjoint:

The stuff my buddy had was a Sativa looking plant. It would get 10ft tall if you started it early, and gave it a lot of light food and water. My buddy grew tons of it on the Big Sandy River and the Levisa Fork. Levisa Fork is a tributary of the Big Sandy. Levisa Fork, and Tug Fork make up the Big Sandy river. This was in the middle of nowhere in the 70s and 80s.

The buds would get 3 feet long if started early.

And we never called it Roadkill. It simply smelled like a skunk
