Omega Garde...I want one

Has anyone grown with one of these... I want one soooo bad, they claim to have taken 60 day flowering fruits and matured them in 15 days!!! no bs. They also say that it makes for hardier and stronger plants yielding much more in much less time. Are you guys for real, no comment about this. 15 day flowering!!!! cmon someones got to call bullshit or bust a nut and be like its the real deal.

First of all, the 15 days flowering you are talking about is BS. This would not speed up marijuana at all. They quoted 15 days for growing salad, which is straight vegetative growth. This can be attributed to the lettuce growing in a hydroponic system. Go check out the Aerogarden, they claim very similar results, but they dont speed up marijuana at all. Second of all, this costs 2 thousand dollars, money which would be better spent on tons of other things. Third, nobody wants to grow in something that confined. What happens when the weed grows more than 2 ft or whatever the radius of the device is? It catches fire since it will be touching the HID.

Finally, thank you for your intelligent response. You bring up great points. It may be a great way to commercially grow a strain like lowryder or something smaller. What you say?

if you LSTed the plants, then maybe. But how to you get access to the interior plants? Seems like a hassle. You could prob build one of your own using PVC or something, and it would cost you a TON less. Would take a lot of work, but you would save AT LEAST 1500 dollars.

thats like saying building your own car would be cheaper or better. there are a lot of home built airplanes but they happen to have a much higher rate of crashing then commercially built ones.

if your worried about ht use clones, it wont really matter anyway since there is cool tube on it. the plants would not burn or touch the HID it self

dude thats approximatly 2.9 grams per watt if you split the difference and say 4 pounds. and in 7 weeks? no im sorry but those numbers dont jive no matter what system your running.

Omega gardens, are, according to omegafarmer the only guy on here that uses them, AWESOEM.

THEY DO SPEED UP PLANT GROWTH
this is because they redistribute auxins

IT IS NOT CONFINED
the "small" space for 80 plants is fine, due to the rotation they grow smaller, broader and faster.

The hormonal redistribution results in accelerated growth, between that and the hydro you can keep these plants very short, short plants flower faster, I would conjecture that they might finish faster in a omega then horizontal hydro.

#1 myth. DONT WASTE MONEY, YOU CAN GET A BETTER GROW FOR 2 grand

Thats bull from a guy that dosnt know what he is talking about. I grow organic in a room. I spent 2 grand easy, I flower 6 plants at a time. I could fit 2 volksgardens in there for 4 grand and have 160 plants every 2 months.

The 2 grand would pay itself off in one harvest.

So to the "inteligent poster" that says this is bullhooey answer me this.

IF 2000 DOLLARS IS A BAD INVESTMENT TO GROW 500$ an ounce weed then WHY ARE PEOPLE BUYING THIS FOR LETTUCE.

Sorry for the double but you guys are really missing the point, you dont need to LST anything, just grow the plants short and flower clones.

SAVE AT LEAST 1500!!! You cant buy a god damn 1000 watt light for much less then 500 bucks.

take is from Ganjagoddess WHO HAS DIY'd THESE!!!! If you do it yourself its about 2500 bucks and that dosnt include the massive time investment in engineering/building/and hoping it dosnt break.

here is an older shot of 2 of the early omega with 2 x 600s in each and they both turned more then 6 lbs each on the 3rd go round
