Dr. Dank

It's really cool that you are back. I got my medical endorsement about 1 1/2 months after you started your online school. I followed along only about 6 weeks behind. Your advice got me off to a good start and I was able to figure out the rest by myself and this forum.

anyway..... to make a long story short I got some high quality meds harvested 4 (too strong actually...wait that's not possible)weeks ago and have a second crop 2 week into 12/12.

thanks to you Dr. Dank and to all the helpful people at Roll-it-up
That's fantastic!!!---You learn as you go---I'm still finding little tips and tricks and also making mistakes at the same time--I write everything down. Great job.
Hey doc, WE thought you might have fallen could'nt get up lol. Glad to see ya back. Got one ?? should I put the girls into flower now that your back. lol j/k. I did let them veg for a long time. the first 101 grow is just about done. they will come off sometime this week. I'll get some pics posted this evening when they wake up.
I've fallen quite a few times---lol.... but I still manage to get up. CO is beautiful and I get to do a lot of hands-on work with med pats and their grows so it is very rewarding. Been doing a lot of selective breeding trying to find those perfect mothers.. I love my work buts its still work--you know what I mean. looking forward to the pics...

1-80w cfl and one 100w cfl. I was going to get another 100w but they don't seem to be around any more. Lights of amarica or something along those lines. all the links to there site stoped working and home D. dosen't have them any more. They seem to work good for veg.

Hey any ideas why my plants don't fill out? They seem lanky or stirngy. I tried to veg longer for more yeild. this will be a 5 month +
grow at the end. I was thinking my hps might be shot. I've had it 4 grows. That is around 5500 hr I think. I was thinking the cool tube would help, having the light so much closer. The smaller gals are under the light 6" off the top and the taller ones are about even with the light about 4" from the light also have the 3 lightbar 42w cfls about mid plant. The auto's were kind of light and fluffy. I was guessing it was due to 12/12 light but not sure. the ones still going seem to have tighter buds but not as big as I would like to see. lol maybe 4 or 5 more grows and I'll have this down. I need to get some good seeds and have a guide as to how they should finish up.

I bet they will be tasty!!!----some strains are denser than others and as you said-----the more lumens you can get to the bud without heat will help. A med patient friend of mine was running 80 watts per sq and still his --G13xSourD was not that dense as you would have thought it would be---on the other hand I have had some strains that were ultra dense and I was only using 36 watts per sq( BubbaKush----and SensiStar---Godzilla).
Glad to see your back :hump:....Your thread for grow school is excellent...It cool you could get a rewarding job with MJ.....
thank you..." I'm bringing back Sensi"----just like timberlake---lol...

Get anywhere on the vac pump? Will have a use for it soon. The first two to come off 79g and 90g wet. kind of a sad yeild for 5 months. they were a auto strain and only got 12/12. Someone told me to kick the light up to 18/6 for autos maybe that would have helped the yeild out some. I will jar the first tomorrow I think.
Autos need 18/6 or 20/4 depending on the cross. They're not good producers at 12/12.

Do you happen to have any good links to auto-flowering plants....I have a plant that is flowering under 18/6...Its about 6 weeks old and I bet its an auto flower? thanks SlipperyP

I knew that. But had no way to give them more light. They might of done beter sitting in the window. AT least I don't have any more of those seeds.lol

Sikp down to post #9 by growthspurt on this. Lots of good info. You may have a bit of a goofie plant there. Most autos would show signs of flowering by about week 4. Be curious to see how quickly it finishes...especially under a 600w.

That was a good link...The plant i have came from some bagseed I got during the afgan war started. The weed was unreal for the high. It is the only dirt weed i have ever tagged and bagged the seeds for. It started flowering under 18/6..

Also...It was very easy to clone and had good side branching...Its apparently still auto flowering?

I'd say you've got yourself a very interesting plant there SlipperyP. The flowering at 18/6 and early in the grow screams of autoflowering in and of itself. But the cloning aspect brings up a bit of a speedbump. Auto's can't really be cloned...Okay, well rather, they can be cloned but doing so is useless since they lack a "true" veg state. That's their biggest drawback. In cloning, what we're doing is re-introducing part of the plant back into it's vegitative state so it can actively make roots and other foliar growth...essentially pushing a "reset" button on the new plant as if it were never flowering and could start all over again. With an auto clone it's going to be different. Autos don't base the need to flower on any light schedule, they determine when to flower by the number of days it has been since seed. It should still be able to make roots but never reverts back to the veg state as it's genetics won't let it...it simply doesn't know what a veg state is. So the result is a succesful clone that is already most of the way through it's flowering cycle and will finish up flowering at the same time it's mom does cause we never get to push any "reset" button like we do with regular clones...resulting in like a tiny nug of smokeable bud from the auto clone. So, your plant is cloneable (which I think would be true of an autoflowering plant) but the question is does it revert back to a veg state (i.e. reset button) or does it just keep on flowering away on the same schedule that mom is? Only time will tell I guess. The horizontal growth/bushiness also supports the autoflowering checklist as well. In the event that it's clones can form roots via going back into veg and can "restart" the flowering cycle, you need to clone that chic till the cows come home as you may have the first autoflowering plant that can revert to veg and therefore make usable clones. This would shave weeks off of the autoflowering grow time as it takes awhile for all of the seedling stuff to run it's course and for the plant to go into flower. Basically, if you have an auto that clones and can reset itself for flowering...you get to start up your own seed bank:hump:.

I even have a great name for it too.....you could call it SlipperySeeds:shock:

Hope this makes some sense and definately keep us updated to how this one works out for ya. Goofy plant.

This one sounds like exactly what you have said...I will be watching the clones to see if they will reset...To run a successful seedbank I believe you would need at least 200 plants limit just to start? I would be fun though...Thanks again butters for the help...Here is a pic
