Opium=marijuana

I am about to grow "hens and chicks" papver somniferum... can you lick the bulb of the opium plant and get some effect?? what effect does opium have?? can it compare to marijuana??

Didn't you just post this same thing in another thread? Dude, stay away from this stuff. You obviously have NO idea what you are getting into. I don't want my tax dollars paying for some kids methadone a few years down the road because some kid did not know wtf he was getting into.

Unfortunately the only way to ingest the opium is by putting the whole pod into your bum. Sure you want to go that route?

your playing with fire if your asking the naive questions you have about opiates. your asking for big life long problems. besides poppies are very hard to grow at least indoor in my experience.

I understand you other guys care and are just trying to warn the guy, but this is just stupid.

My grandmother actually had a whole garden of opium poppy's in her back yard years ago. You can make slits down the side of the bulb and the "milk" will coagulate on the outside. Scrape it off, dry it, and then you can smoke it.

Smoking opium IS NOT the same thing as shooting Heroin idiots.

opium is great...you just need to be careful. if you have no idea what you are talking about then DO NOT ATTEMPT. i love me the opium based painkillers....perc/oxy/morphine....but they will all FUCK your life up if your a dumbass.

use with care.....beware of chasing that purple dragon.......you never catch him!

Opium is great. I usually smoke some before bed if I am all hopped up on coffee or aderol or something. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I'd compare to it smoking some very mellow nag champa smelling hashish.

yea i agree...opium is not the problem....its when u start getting into serious dosages of painkillers (if you ARE NOT PRESCRIBED THEM) on a daily occurrence for recreational usage.... i.e. 50-100+ mg of oxy cotton and perc's and morphine...thats when you are going to start having problems.

i see no problem in enjoying these drugs recreationally but beware constant usage WILL jack up your tolerance level VERY quickly and then your on your way to chasing that dragon.

poppies are easy to grow outdoors. They only become illegal when it can be proven that you knew they could produce opium. Posting this on a message board thus makes it highly illegal.

Just throw them in an isolated area of your yard. Its really to late in the season to grow them outdoors. You typically want to plant poppies in the fall to bloom in the spring. Just blend in some other flowers to keep them hidden. Various types of poppie seeds are sold at nursury's all over the country. I had a friend whose business was invaded by DEA one time because they were legally selling popiver somniveran (sorry if spelling is bad). Its that damn medical marajuana that is soooooo healthy compared to opium.

ive always wondered about smoking opium. Is it like smoking black tar heroin? Because that shit is WACK

Smoking straight opium resin is pretty mellow. Basically you grow the plant. Wait until the flower petals fall off. You're left with a spherical pod. Take a razor blade and score about a dozen vertical slits on the pods, not too deep, you can repeat this process every couple weeks, but they unlikely put the same as the first time. The milk, it's white and really sticky, will turn black over 8-12 hours, if that. Scrap off the now black resin. I've put a little bit on top of some green. Best night sleep ever. All it takes to get a subtle effect is about the size of a BB.

You could refine/purify this resin, and you would be getting into some hard shit(like H). I like it best in the natural form.

You can also made tea out of the scored pods, when fall comes along harvest and dry them. There are still plenty of active opiates left.



Unless you grow some insanely juicy poppies, you can expect at most about one or two small smoking doses per pod when scoring them(and it diminishes upon re-scoring them). It takes a lot of poppies to become dangerous. Realistically, it's more like half a dose per pod, or even much less.

Back in the day when we actually got Tie Stick (the real stuff) it was dipped in opium...according to my supplier at that time
