Also, i know the more light the better, but for that size room (about 3'x3'x5.5') what would be the minimum amount of lumens necessary? i'll go above it, i just want to get an idea. So far i have 3, 42watters (putting out about 8000 lumes), i was planning on buying about 6 more, and possibly some 27watt bulbs as well.
Haha, i asked this question in my journal too. No response yet. But like ii said in mine, i heard the sun puts out 10000 lumes per sq/ft. So Im aiming for that. My grow area is about 4 sq/ft but im doing more of a SOG using 8 plants so i have less area to light. For you... I dont know i would say try to get at least 15000. For your whole box. Im no expert though, so someone else probably can answer better.
Ya, you got it cooler lights (blues) are better for the veg stage, and warm lights (reds) are better for the flowering stage. So if you plan on swiching to flower "soon" i would just get more red lights, but if your gonna veg for a while, get more blues and then more reds later on.

they dont look too bad at all. Just lay of the nutirents for a bit. is ther drainage holes in th bottem of th cups?? if not make some. when you transplat try to use high quality soil with lots of drainage. add extra perlite lots of it. get them on a good watering cycle soak them them let them dry out compleatly them soak them again. they like a good wet/dry cycle. oh yeah most importsnt be patient!! the seedling stage is a slow one. just relax its like growing any other plant

I deffinatly wouldnt give them any nutes, thats probably why the leaves are a little dissformed. Wait till they have at least 4 or 5 nodes or more.
agreed! thats exactly why your leave look that way . way too much Nitrogen. thats whats giving them that very dark purple coulor. it is also stunting them a bit. Guve them nothing but water for a WHILE
