Outdoors In The Northeast

Nice strains Burner! I'm in NS.
I ordered my seeds from Single Seeds Canada. "The Church" was out of stock for a few days, and when they got it back in, they sold out before I could choose a couple more seeds. She must be popular around here.
My FCJ is a couple days old, and should be a decent size plant come June. My other seeds should be here buy the 30th, so they should have a decent start before heading outside too.

Hey neighbor, wish i had some church. Ran out last summer though so im trying some new ones this year, not sure how they will turn out though.

Trying some afghan kush, hollands hope (which supposedly will do great around these parts), Cheese, White widow, and a few others i cant name off the top of my head.

And yeah, like they said im hoping mother nature does us a solid this summer after the winter we've been through.

I musta got lucky when I ordered and got the last 2 Church seeds lol, hopefully 1 of the 2 germs and sprouts. I just ordered them 3 weeks ago There is quite a range of strains in this thread so hopefully we have some good luck. I would like to find 3 or 4 that do well around here. Mother natures owes us a decent summer after that winter from hell!!!

Hey Xpoc how is your FCJ coming along. I am excited about this strain and have read lotsa of good things about it

Speaking of Church, here's a shot of my young lady right here. She's 9 days old and the most vigorous seedling I've seen in a while. I've got some high hopes for this girl. IMG_0291.JPG

My FCJ is 4 days old I started her in a 1/2 gal pot with coco, and she's doing good so far. She'll start to take off once she gets some roots down.
I've read posts of people in Ontario harvesting her mid to late September, so if mother nature does give us a break the FCJ will probably be the first to get chopped :)

Your plant is looking good Foothills!

Damn you guys gettin plants goin' already...You guys are going to have monsters !!! You guys are not playing around !!

My plan is to veg for like 3 weeks or so, and then put out during the 3rd week of june. The time when daylight hours are longest for the year.

I woke up this morning to snow flurries.

Anyone else guerrilla growing? :P
I'm doing a research project with auto's this year on my property with 20 or so. The reason for this is to see how to work them for the best yield outside where I can baby them. This way I know what times to get the very best results and not speculate. Also I have some extra auto white russian pollen from a friend in calli I plan on crossing a couple so next year I'll have lots of auto seeds for a nice big guerrilla grow. I wanted to this year but didn't want to spend all to money on seeds. I'm thinking auto's might be good here from the 1 i ran outside last year. I never would have tried this 5 years ago when they sucked, but now that they have the potency up why not try to get a big early harvest.

I hope your project works out well for you. Sometimes the shorter time outdoors is just the ticket up here with the crazy ass weather. I only grow a few out back and baby them all summer. Then I pass them off as some sort of Japanese ornamental to my grandkids when I have them over. Last summer I pulled this gag with my 6 year old granddaughter and she looked up at me and asked, Do they all stink ?

i'll be doing a guerrilla grow as well, northeast US. have a lot of work to do yet. a couple plants are growing and more to sprout this week. sort of a couple weeks later that I would have wished. we can not put them out till last weekend in may anyhow to June 1st at earliest.

I have some crazy train, pineapple express, THC bomb, harlequin x JTR, doc's Iranians and some mixed autos. also freebies of blue og, critical, and purple trainwreck. and a nice hindu kush clone.

I will likely sprout double what I need and take the best growing of them so maybe something listed will get cut but doubles of the better growing ones.

these will be grown in my own soil mix, non-bottle fed and given teas.

@Space Cowboy- if you can get them out the last week may to first week june they will do just fine in this area. the chance of frost will have past and they really spring up quick in this time. inches a day compared to half inch indoors for growth at this time of spring. the light hrs increasing means nothing to them they will keep in veg till august if put out then.

also if you are growing guerrilla style I believe getting them out earlier (without being to early) helps them blend in better. as you will be making trails that get covered quick by fresh growing vegetation. the plants once put into their areas will blend in all the sooner as well and not have to compete so much with vegetation that has grown tall by that time.

Hey Jimmer, you mentioned earlier in the thread that you veg for a long time and it effects flowering. In what way do you think it effects them? Not questioning your logic, just curious if it helps them flower sooner or later.

And about the woods compared to the wide open, I would agree with the woods flowering sooner. I had one in the wide open and the rest in the woods and the wide open flowered last by 7-10 days but yielded the most. They were all from the same bagseed strain we had. Another thing I noticed is the woods protects from frost a bit compared to the wide open. The wide open plant shook off frosty leaves without missing a beat in mid September last year though.

way too late bud, u want to get them out under full asap, mid may (if weather permits) to june 1st, really no need to wait any longer. light hrs by this time will not permit flowering in your plants. If I were you Id start vegging around the first week in may, for a few weeks then put them out. your gonna miss out on some great sun waiting to put them out, and as said, theres no reason to wait this long

What is with this cold weather this spring? I thought I could have put them out (east central pa)? Maybe I'm just being too impatient!

I hear ya ! I get impatient every year around this time and the cold weather doesn't help. I still stick with my original plans though. It's just way to easy to get burned up here when we jump the gun and put em out to early.
