Anyone subscribe to the farmers almanac? Any idea of how the seasons weather is looking? A farmer I was talking to that grows organic veggies said were looking at a wet season on the north east. Mold mold and more mold
I checked it out a couple weeks a go, and for my area it says
"April and May will be a bit warmer than normal, with below-normal precipitation and snowfall.
Summer will be warmer than normal, with the hottest periods in early to mid-July, mid- to late July, and mid- to late August. Rainfall will be below normal in Newfoundland and Labrador and above normal elsewhere. Expect tropical storm threats in August and early September.
September and October will be warmer, wetter, and snowier than normal."
The prediction doesn't start well, because of the crappy weather so far.
Nice, i'm going to try and set up something similar. I'm kind of on a budget, not to mention busy with work so checking on them regularly isn't really an option.
This has me leaning on MG's Moisture Control (I know i know)... but honestly I've used it before and it kind of works for my situation. Cheap, and regulates water control when i cant. As long as i dont fuck around with nutes my girls should be alright, til flowering where ill start feeding them again.
BTW, what do you use for the slugs?
This is my first real outdoor grow too, so for slugs I'm going to the hardware store to get slug bait. Whatever brand is safer for the environment/animals. Putting seaweed around the base of the plant is supposed to be good too, so I may use that or beer in a cup for back up.
That MG Moisture control is 15.99 for 56 liters here. That's not cheap! lol
Plenty of people use MG with no problem so I hope it works well for you too.
