Panama HAZE 13-16 weeks flowering cycle - *uck yeah!

I'm looking for something strange and unique that nobody in Michigan is growing or wants to grow. I did an advanced search on Attitude Seed Bank for a tall, long flowering, sativa dominant strain. I ran across a strain called Panama Haze with an estimated flower time of 13-16 weeks. I have had my best experiences with long flowering strains in the past. My theory is that with the additional flowering time these plants will have the opportunity to develop a more complex flower that has more to it than just getting you "high."

We've all smoked that "special" strain one time way back when that was simply "special." Mine was Blue Dream. She flowered for a very long time and was the most incredible strain I've ever smoked. More akin to a fine wine than just another batch of buds, and it was due purely to the genetics of the strain - not my growing abilities. I'm hoping Panama Haze recreates the magic that was Blue Dream. Coming to Grand Rapids December 2019 :)

I love good long flowering sativas, just don't get to grow them often :). Definitely my favorite smoke though.

I have read that Panana x Haze has some holy grail type plants in it. I have ran their Zamal and Bangi Congo x Haze and found nice plants in both. I also have 2 packs of Bangi Haze I need to grow. I have been trying to keep a few proper sativas in rotation so I can show these couch lock lovers what getting high is.

It's like a whole other experience man. I have to admit 14-16 weeks flowering time is very intimidating. I'm more afraid of battling bugs for that long in flower. Ya just can't use anything heavy duty when flowers are set...that keeps things interesting. I've found Azamax is fairly effective in keeping a bug problem under control without affecting taste or harvest quality all the way up to the last week before harvest. I suppose that's an option to keep on hand...

I start each flower period with a mild dose of Bayer Forbid. It has a 6 week half life and is completely gone by the end of a 9-10 week flower cycle. I bought a 2 oz sample on ebay for $30. Expensive, but very potent shit. 0.3 ML/quart. 1.2 ML/gallon and at that rate you can burn delicate foliage. I think I did .2ml/quart on my last application.

I avoid this by not ever flowering any plants with bugs. On the rare occasion I have had a mite or thrip. I make sure everything is clean and all pests are eliminated before flowering again.

My buds like to sing. Aint no bugs on me, aint no spray on me. Might be bug on some of ya'll buds but no need to spray for bugs on me!

Good routine man. If you keep it clean and tidy in veg then things should stay clean and tidy through flower. I noticed that ortho perimeter pest spray works pretty good at keeping anything creepy crawly out of your home. I saturated the perimeter inside and out and haven't seen a bug in a week and half since application. I had a few fungus gnats show up a few weeks back, but I applied some BT drops to my watering and took care of the problem in 24 hours. Haven't seen a gnat since.

I do like the Bayer Forbid though. Shit works great.

Anytime I notice a gnat I squirt a bit of Bacillus thuringiensis in each pot. Rarely ever see one if you use it right away. Been a few years right now. And its 100% organic beneficial bacteria. So nothing poisonous.

Why use anything at all if it’s avoidable. Top watering is inviting a host of pests to call your medium home
It is a beneficial bacteria. Its good for your root zone. That is why.

If you read the label of several popular name brand bacteial and fungal innoculants you will find it on the ingredient list. Both fox farm and great white come to mind but it is in many of them.

I would guess that or does not compete well with other bacteria because you have to use it by itself to take out gnats. But it works great. Is 100% non toxic.

Farmers actually use the same stuff to keep mosquitos out of watering troughs.

Fixes aphids too.

FACA0964-8BA2-435C-AD08-4DD8D4C8F11D.jpeg “beneficial bacteria”now that’s a funny one. Is that what the growstores call it. It’s nonsense and unnecessary just like all the clone gels and powders. You have 20 different brands claiming one thing or another but in reality you don’t need and gels or powders. Just something they want to sell you that “you need” now this tray and tower it sits on is what ya need. If nothing is wet in your medium where are they going to lay eggs? Try is I promise you won’t top feed again. Here’s my wand I made so I don’t have to bend overB1255B04-9AD4-4362-BD8D-3EB69F27B655.jpeg
And there’s no fix for aphids, the eggs come in your soil or coco, now activate by water you pour on your plants

I had a mentor that sent me seeds a while back and they just sat. I popped the Malawi gold and after a few months of veg I found out it's a 6 month flower period lol. I'm in it to win it at this point. I have a dog fart, killer queen, and a Apollo 13 with her....they were stressed to the max and vegged for like 7 months lol. Once we bought and moved into our house I put them in flower 4 days later. Fingers crossed I didn't stress them so bad they get those yellow banana things. Pray for the amateur grower...pray!
