Panasonic Whisper Fan and Static pressure - Question?

I want to get myself a 80 CFM Panasonic exhaust fan - the box is about 19 sq feet with only CFL at the moment.I dont plan on installing a MH or HPS anytime soon. Anyways I was reading around the forums and it seems once you put a carbon scrubber on it the loudness increases pretty significantly.

Now what if the fan was not directly obstructed but still has the main grow cab flow thru the filter. Hopefully my little drawing will help explain it. I found the original post from http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=45196 - So basically you make two chambers on the top of the grow cab, then on one side you have the little carbon box in the link be the barrier into the fan chamber. The air will be forced thru the carbon box and into the fan. My question is - will this be the same as directly fitting it? Would be increase the sound like it would if it was directly attached?

The easiest way is to just duplicate nature if you must do it indoors...8-) It's a weed. Dont over think it. The more it looks like the outdoors to the plant...The better.

the inside part where the plant will be good i got that down - this is just an isolated part of the top of the grow box for ventilation and odor control. I live in apartment so odor is a big deal :/ and loudness of the fan is a concern too

If you want to keep the fragrance isolated then you need to create a closed loop. A completely enclosed environment. Which means you will need Co2. At least as I understand it.

hmmm im prob just gunna have to try it i guess. I dont want to do the co2 thing - rather just try for the carbon filter on the exhaust idea and keep negative pressure in the cab so no smells leak out. time for action! :P
