Thats what im worried about. I have a 5 gallon bucket with Ona Pro Gel and Soil moist, then a fan blowing upward out of it. My basement smells like fresh laundry for now. My room is complete concrete, ceiling, its basically a jail cell. Im thinking of getting a ozone1000, 'just in case'.

Reading your grow journal with joy. Good idea starting 12/12 but how effective it is I guess we will see at the end of your harvest (I am an ever learning noob

See I also have the added challenge that I have a pet parrot, the problem with birds is you can not use ANY air fresheners or anything that makes the air smell or it kills them. So that is why I am sooo happy that Carbon is doing the trick because it is also so very safe!

Welcome, and thanks for reading my journal! I am also an ever learning noob, my only experience is growing a couple plants outdoors every time I try indoors it fails due to heat and or sound lol... So I am doing better then ever!
My mission was Top Quality Herb not Quantity as I can deal with that later, so your right we can only wait and see.. although I think my yield may be a bit disappointing but we must also just wait and see lol

Day 38:

I put 3 new ones in the dresser with the Papaya...
#3 has some spots on the leaves?? It doesnt look like burning because the buds are fine is this something I should be worried about?!?!

EDIT: Well I KNOW something is wrong the more I look at it and I am pissed, because I am sure it is a PH problem and this wouldn't have become a problem if that damn meter didnt arrive broken, but the new one should be here this week it better! But why do you think the others aren't affected?

Burning as in how?
Looks like nute water. Should be fine. Do you think useing a inline fan connected to a carbon, filtering in the room would work? My room has a antique steel door(rather creepy) but can vent out of room. Think a carbo connected fan pulling and releasing in the same room will work? Prob jus blow through filters faster..

i just read through the whole thread, i love the fact that quality smoke can be achieved in small spaces without 100 watts plus in lighting, i will be watching this to the end

I meant burning from the lights, but that couldn't be it or the buds would be burnt, and if it were a PH or Nute issue I would think all 3 would suffer because they are all fed the same thing so I am not sure.

I think you could totally use an inline fan pulling through a carbon filter and vent it right into your room, you just gotta make sure your room temp doesnt soar.

I am using a 250 Watt light, not sure what you mean by the 100 watts plus thing do you mean per square foot?
I have 12,000 lumens per square foot which is kick ass :mrgreen:

Day 39:

Well whatever the problem is with #3 it doesn't seem to be getting worse, I have no idea...
I now have 6 bag seeds sprouted and into the dresser.. starting to get tight in there lol....
Normally they would be watered today but they feel heavier then normal and im trying to hold out until my PH tester arrives.

would be some nute deficiency. Some deficiencies show themselves on older leaves first, now only if I can remember where I read it. Is there a hole in that brownish spot?

What I meant was, did you spill ur nutes on the leaves? Ive accidentally spilled nute water on leaves and had them look like cigarette burns.

Thats what ill do, my temps stay around 78. I also have a rollable A/C unit. Im need a joint!!! Peace

I agree that is what I was thinking, however I have a feeling it is a PH problem which is locking out the nutes it needs because I am feeding everything I need. If that BLOODY PH tester would arrive I might have more answers sorry...

No there is no hole where the brown spot is but you can see the brown spot from the underside of the leave, it looks like there could be a hole I agree.. so strange.

Nope there is no possibility that I spilled any nutes on the leaves just by how I water them, but that is a good idea

When I move and expand my thing it will be in an apartment, so I will be relying on one of those portable AC things, it sounds like your going to be running the set up I will be when I move.. it should work!

Day 40:

Well whatever is wrong with #3 its getting worse, its onto some new leaves, im sure its a PH problem and it has nute lockout... However I don't understand why the other 2 are fine, and since my meter didn't arrive today again, today was a feed day so I didn't change anything.
All 3 were fed worm castings extract, bat guano extract, seaweed and molasses... I didn't bubble it into a tea because my air pump blows and thought it might do more harm then good.

#3 still getting worse, the PH meter has to come this week so i should know, all were still wet so no water...
I have 6 new babies popped up.

maybe you should try giving them straight spring water in the mean time while you wait for you ph meter. it might help to flush them out and clean that soil of any built up solids.

I agree. Thats all I used until I built a rain collector. I dont know where u luve but in the midwest it has been raining for 3 days. I have enough free water until snow comes.

I agree, I had planned to do that yesterday but the pots were still quite heavy, and the fact that only 1 was suffering made me wonder. But tonight I am going to take JUST #3 and flush the shit out of it with plain water to see if it helps.

I also live on the west coast but it hardly ever rains where I live, we have very good water that comes out of the tap though so I just let it sit to get rid of all the chlorine. but that rain collector is an awesome idea, only problem is where I live it would create more questions then its worth lol Man I can not wait to MOVE!

it works great for smaller grows. U can find it cheaper than that also. If I remember correct it kept my water round 6.2 which is great for soil.

Day 44:

Well I took #3 to the bathtub and gave a tonne of water, only some came out.. not sure how much was suppose to come out...
My yield is going to be pretty weak the more I look at them out of the box lol oh well its all a learning experience and I hope its just good smoke :-)
