And as far as the prize goes, I'm with Shack on that one - I'm doing this for bragging rights, no more, no less (plus I already have more strains then I know what to do with and wouldn't dream of giving someone my address).

damn nice buds, ive been curiouse of the whole 12/12 from seed deal so after i saw this lastnight i planted 2 bubbakush and 2 bubblegum in beercups to 12/12..
would it be better to 12/12 right away or should i veg'em for a week or two first? (i know not exatcly 12/12 from seed,but still)
these may endup in the comp,but i may just do it for shits'n'giggles/nugs...

My last Party Cup grow i was going to do 12/12, but the growth was really slow in the first week, so i went bac to 18/6, then she started taking off, im about to update right now in a couple hours, my babies are growing REALLY fast :weed:

i mean the difference from day to day is amazing
 
Hey SICC, can you remove me from the competition? Looks like I won't be able to take those clones until later on in January, unfortunately.

If removing me is not necessary, I guess this is my official withdrawal post.

Now i water like 3-4 times a day, everyday, with a lil dropper i got with my pH adjusting kit, so what he had posted is that if you let the soil dry out, then the roots dig down deep for water, so i was thinking since i water everyday, maybe since there is constantly water on top of the soil, the roots never really had to dig deep down to search for some more, i never watered my plant where the run out would come out the bottom until i was a couple weeks into flower if i remember correctly, something to think about

what do yall think?
 
it sounds like it makes complete sense plus, if you have a lot of run off water well there goes all those nutrients you had in the soil..... nice tid bit of info sicc..... you should send this to that jack ass who wast running his mouth about your "root bound" party cup haha what a dumbass he was just pissed cause he cant grow a party cup like that... happy growing guys

mine are all in their respective cups, and sitting under the 600watter.... hopefully i'll have some sprouts here soon to make my first official entry. i'm rather excited about this comp though... i think it will actually finish..... the shotglass grow was just WAY too impractical.

there was not only one, but two attempts at that on here.... both flopped miserably:lol:..... but they were inspired by a thread at (i think) icmag doing the same thing, and there were actually some impressive pictures on there

Yea man, it's been a real tough few weeks for me. I had to up and move, and that included my gear and project. Bright side is, I'm ROCKIN a huge closet, 400whps perpetual, and went party cup crazy!! I have 10 cups on the go, and will soon be filling the closet with party cup clones. All my cab's are hosting mothers, and my easy cloner is full. I love all this new room.

GREAT JOB EVERYONE ******* for your party cup entries, looking like a great compitition!!! You too Shack.

Yea man, this theory is correct in part because roots will not grow as fast in the presence ofmore water, too much water and they don't grow at all, they rot Hence Root Rot.

Keeping the top of the pot wet causes smaller side roots to shoot out rather than down.
 
i may be fucking withdrawing from the comp.... we live in a 100+ yr old house, and every winter, we battle with field mice.... they evidently have gotten into the grow tent, and all 15cups had disturbed dirt, with two seed shell halves on top:cuss:..... I may try to start more, but this is fucking frustrating for obvious reasons.... these damn things breed like roaches, and there seems to be not a damn thing we can do to keep the little fuckers out of the house.... we just catch and kill them as best we can. :-(

I would like to see, hypothetically speaking, a 2 year grow in a warehouse with a 100% sativa strain in a 20 gal. pots under 2000 Watts HPS per plant minimum.
