Tied them down a good bit just now, the main cola anyway. They are circled in red. The other colas are really starting to sharpen up, and appear to have grown since I took pictures early this morning. But damn these plants are bushy, i keep pushing the foliage down to allow light to get to the bud sites better.

My cab is getting a bit warmer than I'd like though, its gone as high as 91.

Lookin awesome pelt! Yeah I would'Nt do any topping while in flower, may cause too much stress. What are you using for the smell?

Yo! For now, the smell isn't too bad, but I have a spare bedroom that these cabs are sitting in, so for the moment I'm not too worried about it as I'm in a house and all and its just me.

I also was told that NL don't produce much smell during flowering. But I don't know if i believe that as these things already have this awesome sweetness of smell to them and they haven't produced any bud yet.

Also, I'm out of town for a few days for the holidays. Prob be out of town till the 27th, so my girls and the two seedlings will be alone for 4 days. Excited to see how things are when I get back. It will be like Christmas for a 9 year old!

HEll yeah dude I know how ya feel. Leave a little radio on for them, maybe some Marley on repeat Haha.. the NL is suppose to be a low smell strain. I HAVE to get me a flowering cab, the strain I grow is very stout. My house constantly smells like ona lol...Your grow is looking good bro, keep it up!

My NLs have literally zero smell still... even with hairs popping out everywhere. pretty impressed with that trait so far. enjoy the holiday! your girls will be missing you!

Group B: Currently 2nd Day of Vegging


Well, just got back in town and the first thing I had to do was run and check on the plants. They were quite a bit droopy, must have been the lack of water?

There was some yellowing at the very bottom which I cut off, along with some spots on some of the top portions that look like nute burn or something, although I haven't given them any.

My two new seedlings have sprouted, they're still tiny. I am going to say they've been sprouted for 2 days at most. I'll start training these new seedlings much sooner than my first two seedlings.

The finished product shown in with the brownies. They are quite tasty, and cut into 8 pieces are EXTREMELY potent. Maybe a third or a half of each piece would be better. :)

Hung three 23 watt 2700Ks in the mix as well for side lighting. Tried to be sure they didn't block any light from the HPS.

Yo! So today when they woke up, I gave them a bit of water and nutes. Never tried nutes before so we'll see how this goes. To be on the safe side I used a third strength mixture to start out with.

The main plants are doing well. I've trimmed a bit of yellowing from the bottom. The canopy of both plants are starting to even out. One plant appears to have 4 main colas, the other about 5, all of which have yet to make their way to the canopy.

The seedlings are doing ok, they're still growing nice and steady.

Yes sir.... thanks! These are some of the nicest looking tops I have seen, comparing to my previous casual outdoor grows. They look so clean, and hearty.

Honestly though, I am a bit worried about headroom. As the 150 hps pokes down a bit. With me switching to the narrower, taller grow bags I have about 13 inches of room from the soil to the lamp. So my girls will definitely be shorter, I just hope they will bud up properly. :)

So starting with my seedlings(Group B), one is a bit larger than the other. And the smaller one has brown spots on the top of it. I tried to get a decent picture of it. I'm not really worried about it as of now, I'm not sure why it has those brown spots on the top though.

On to Group A, I don't know if it was the nutes I gave them two days ago, if it was the healthy watering I gave them yesterday, or if they just got a really good night's sleep last night, but they looked really good this morning. Lot of energetic growth.

Since one of my seedlings looks like crap so far, I thought I would try my hand and taking a clone from one of my larger plants. It was at the bottom, and pretty much blocked by the top canopy anyways. I totally don't expect this to do anything, so we'll see how it turns out.

I made a box for cloning out of a piece of Tupperware, but it won't fit in my vegging chamber with the two bags in there. So what I did was fashion a smaller one out of a few empty water bottles. It is ghetto to the max.

But here is how it looks.

Very cool to see what develops! I hear a lot of people lately saying they have great luck with rooting flowering cuttings into nice single cola plants. You have any hormone/nutes in the water?

Yep, looking forward to seeing it also. I'm thinking maybe eventually I might rotate to just taking clones and develop SOG type grows(although not exactly), where I just try to get nice fat single colas. It would probably be a much better use of the limited space I have and would give me larger yields.

But nope, nothing in the water. The only thing I used was rooting powder and that rockwool cube. I hope it turns out the way I want. Cause if it does, I'll wind up eventually going hard with future cloning.
