There is nothing wrong with paying a person for doing a job as long as that pay is reasonable for the work they are actually doing. What was Bernie paying his family? Was it $450k per year for a part time job to his brother in law like I just read about some Republican state rep doing? Though I would like to point out that both parties do this routinely - but they get their ass kicked in the public eye for it... depending on their district.
I believe that Pence could have paid himself a salary according to the law but that sort of thing is frowned on by the voters - as is paying your day to day bills. Why the hell didn't Pence pay himself a salary and pay his own bills? Because he couldn't hide it as well. Do you really believe the frugal people of Indiana condone such shit? No way.
So he is a coward and a conman - a perfect compliment for TRUMP! If only he were a bully. I wonder if he is.......

The law also banned abortion if the fetus had a "disability" like Down syndrome, which would have also denied women the right to end a pregnancy in the event of more serious fetal anomalies.

This "not illegal at the time" mentality is exactly what I fucking hate about TRUMP! and his ilk. So many of his business deals are a sham and a rip-off.
A rip-off is always a rip-off! And "rip-off artists" suffer from a moral flaw that disqualifies them from being President in my eyes. I agree that Hillary is awful - but there are so many that are so much worse than her - TRUMP! is their poster boy. This man steals from people and brags about it. Hillary feathers her own nest as effectively as anybody I have ever seen but at least has shame about it. Trump is a faker and a taker - he uses the legal structure for protection while enriching himself and making society worse.
He is one of the type of pricks that sat around in the 90s thinking up schemes about how to get people in the lower middle class to leverage their futures so they could all get private jets. So they rigged the housing market and gave fraudulent incentives to get them to borrow their salaries for the next 30 years. Then they sold those debts off to retired people and blew up the market. But they got real nice jets... and yachts. Jail? bahahahaha!
Government is not a business and should not be run like one. It is government's fucking job to protect us from these people. The real exploitation is not happening in the streets.

Hillary accepted hundreds of millions of dollars into her foundation while she was Secretary of state. It wasnt 'Illegal' but it could be seen as a conflict of interest and she agreed not to do it and then went and did it anyway and then covered it up.
