Even If the return is not to the room? I was thinking of making the return into a closet near the furnace cold air return, which exchanges with the rest of the house.

this is how i think might work for u

think of the room and the whole design the airflow now replace that with water and the plants used is food coloring now was it move it defuses to nothing but u need a much larger space to dump in ............now if u dump that air into anouther room and mix it with fresher to defuse the food coloring to nothing then u can do it .....but if the air is not getting replaced out of that area at a faster rate then it being dumped in the food color will pool up and get darker and darker

honestly it is best to dump your used air outside forcing the air in the house to be sucked out making a slightly negtive pressure in the house sucking air in from the outside

yah they make temp controlled plugs the down side is u need a power cord so u can hang it at the right lvl othersire it is tied into where where ever the plug is and not real control

a idea i been playing around with

that vent hole at the top of the tent set up something so it is flush and uhook in a damnper on a temp trigger and a 6 inch fan to turn on and suck the air out at the highest point to lower the temp to the cut off point

The return was just an Idea I had after climbing in my attic to see if I could smell any odor coming out of my can fan, I didnt, but what I noticed was the air was very cool. Then I was watching a youtube video that was put out by a grow shop talking about different reflectors and thier use. And how air cooled reflectors were designed for very small gardens and cooling the air with an open bulb fixture was more efficent than trying to cool the bulb in an air cooled fixture and lose lumens. Anyways the setup I have now is just what you explained with a fan venting directly to the attic/outside, just a way bigger fan. I have a couple ideas I will draw up a couple diagrams and see what seems best. If I have time I can illustrate my air return design.

As you can see I should have a little more space in each area than I am trying to cover with light and fill with plants. I am hoping this gives me a little room for overgrowth. Wow these t8s are pretty great for early plant life. Each fixture was 10$ and takes 2 32w bulbs. Got a 12 pack of 6500k 2550lumen bulbs for 20$

good for the most part expect............a 400w with a 85cfm (no no no no bad idea) u have a 400w 4x4x6 is 100cf (i round down ) use something like the 6 inch booster 240 cfms...............if u are venting /dumping back into the room u want a quick return so the air is not to hot and if u get lucky it is cooler then the air out there so it helps lower it your intake is taken in cooler air then what is at top and if u dump it it will sink and cool other air

oh hell yah t5s are the shit for starting out plants .............but even in that tent i have a 240cfm only a 3x3x6 ...........if u do it right u can set a jiffy greenhouse on top (u know the one with the plugs ) start the seed in 3 days the heat from the,light warms it up almost perfect just make sure some water is in there to steam up

Ya I figured I might have to invest in a decent can fan for that 400. I was hoping to dump the veg air directly into the room and run a single carbon filter in each flower area, hoping two filters is enough. maybe one of those inline ozone air purifiers might do the trick.

I recently got a heat mat, mainly for clones but will be using it next time I germ. Speaking of which. Heres what I got as far as genetics to work with. I dont have a place to order beans to so I am going to use up what I was able to get a hold of while I had some type of way.
Seedism tastebud
Barneys - lsd, kritical kush, chronic thunder, blue cheese, pinnapple chunk
G13 labs white critical
rare dankness - el jefe, kyber kush #1
Th seed auto bubblegum original
and some cotton candy bag seeds. Also I have a clone of some ducksfoot, and two other strains that are possibly gsc or blue dream.

if u are dumping back in u aim for a 20s 30s refresh of air and u will be fine ................but the flowering area needs to be the same amount of time or better since some of the orginal power was used up


if u are worried about smell u can always add a carbon polisher

as for your strains the only one i have done is the blue cheese............not a fan of the Kushs

How do you refill those carbon polishers? I'm running my first CGE soon and these look perfect for closed rooms. They work just as good as the can's?

the foothill's carbon thing

on the bottom it has 3 little leg things............one of those little legs is actual a Plug u use a allan wrench it comes right off with little twist .............and that is where u dump the stuff out and fill it back up .............they will last 12 to 15 months before u have to refill it

i get my active carb0on from them since they know the amount it takes to fill for what size u have (infact they gave me a half of bag more then i needed so if i buy 3 more refills i get a 5th one free from them being nice )

yah these are just like a scrubber where u dump the air outside ..............except this one has no ducting u just hang it and turn it on it will suck the air in the room and then dump it back into the room ...............called Air Polishing is the term i learned all this under

i own 2 of their filters the 4 inch and the 6 inch .............good stuff if u like i can take a pic of the bottom so u have a better understanding of it .......other then that they are just like all the other carbon scrubbers on the market

Been damn busy. No time to do this. I am hoping this weekend I can start on this final area. Definately not going to have a problem filling up this area. I am really excited that I have this strain I have, its some kind of ducksfoot, and I have no clue how I ended up with it, all I know it is a bag seed from a reputable grower, could have been from his outdoor grow. I only know of the guy so who knows, I dont like to meet new people. I am keeping it as a mother and have the original outside somewhere in a 15gallons pot with no way to check on it. Hopefully I get something, anything from my outdoor to give me an idea of the bud quality ducks foot could provide. Because I might use this, and this alone to do our outdoor. I would be very interested to see what if any of the webbed leaves trait it would pass on if bred.

New cab, colone on the bottom veg on the top. With the two other areas I have not run into much of a heat issue, more than might to be expected. 80s and high 70s, cmon it is summer time.
