How are HLG scammers??You're right, dont give those hlg scammers you're money lol
They're not a scam. The lights work. The naming schemes are stupid but these are companies that have done this since they started back in the day with blurples. They need to drop the bad habit, but the lights work.I’d go HLG kit for a small space like that. Don’t give those scammers your money.
Yes, those companies have been deceptive since day 1 with their crazy claims of replacing 1k hps with 200w of blurple. Their naming system is another attempt to confuse uninformed customers. They put out bull shit ppfd charts and efficiency claims. Will they grow a plant? Yup.They're not a scam. The lights work. They still grow plants more efficiently than HID. And they need to stop with that practice. It is extremely annoying. I do warn people about it.Yes, those companies have been deceptive since day 1 with their crazy claims of replacing 1k hps with 200w of blurple. Yea you can tell pretty quick that misleading advertising is pretty standard with the led grow light market, and it is a shame.Yes, those companies have been deceptive since day 1 with their crazy claims of replacing 1k hps with 200w of blurple. Even the last few years have drastically changed things. I jumped into QB a while back and the unit cost is dropping almost daily it seems as more get into them.Yea you can tell pretty quick that misleading advertising is pretty standard with the led grow light market, and it is a shame.
That being said, it does weed out the suckers from the people who know what they’re doing. I like the fact that you need to know what your doing and have some degree of intelligence to properly grow cannabis that you can be proud of, the challenge of it is definitely a big part of what draws me to growing.
That being said, it’s definitely way easier than ever before to get kitted out to grow. Back in the day your options for kit were a grow shop if you were lucky to have one around and hardware store lol
Truth! If you would have told me 20 years ago how easy it would be to set up and get info from places like this I’d have laughed at you. It still wasn’t long ago that we were in A hardware store talking about building reptile enclosures Or parking way down from the hydro store and hoofing bales of pro mix super paranoid. I was hps for years, finally made the jump to cmh about 3 years ago. now im flowering my first LED run. The HLG scorpion was just irresistible!! I take very good notes of my grows and there isn’t question that this run is well ahead of the curve.Yea you can tell pretty quick that misleading advertising is pretty standard with the led grow light market, and it is a shame.

Lol! I remember years ago before legalization, one company in Kelowna, BC posted a note on their company ad billboard outside their shop ;Yep,Definitely easier to start up nowadays..... In the 90s , closest hydrofarm distributor to Philly would check your car make/model and ask you what you're growing when buying couple thouies + of lighting.
Always paid cash, but fucking paranoia was real. Mandatory minimums where no joke.
I just decided to give the ‘ole Cervantes bible a re-read. It’s what I started with, along with this site like over a decade ago. I wish I still had my old RIU log in info lolEven the last few years have drastically changed things. I jumped into QB a while back and the unit cost is dropping almost daily it seems as more get into them.
I wish I could have started growing now with infinite internet resources, and affordable lighting instead of having to read 2" thick grow bibles from Ed Rosenthal and Jorge Cervantes and sweating my nutsack off under HPS bulbs lol
Maaan that’s heavy. That’s exactly what I would sketch about when I even considered stepping into a grow shop.Yep,Definitely easier to start up nowadays..... It works well but jacks up the elctric bill bad. Just go with something better or you will pay in long run. This is from experience...For sure - the actual draw is only 200w, I’m looking at something budget priced for a 2x3 space for 2 dwc or autopot plants. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with these lights - it’s either this or a spider farmer until I have the dough for the Timber
Like the 200w phlizon does? Did you use em? What would you recommend ?It works well but jacks up the elctric bill bad. Just go with something better or you will pay in long run. This is from experience...
