That is a 2 head CNC vertical boring machine with live tooling in the background. 16 foot table will swing 20 feet.
Getting ready to machine the 2nd side of a very large high pressure pump casing.

yes, ma’ am , it’s a Belgian Malinois. His name is Gunner and he protects my pot plants and is used for all my safety and security issues.
He never leaves the house .

Yep catfish. Looks like about a 35 to 45 pound one. Dad caught some big ones. Right before he died he caught a 98 lb Opelousas.

Yep catfish. Looks like about a 35 to 45 pound one. Dad caught some big ones. Right before he died he caught a 98 lb Opelousas.

That is a slurry pump, Mines crush the ore into fine gravel and then a series of pumps move it along. They are made out of this incredibly hard metal. Basically you need a synthetic diamond [CBN] to machine these things.

It's got Moly in it. Mostly white iron with a lot of chrome. It doesn't work harden much. It is 65 rockwell as is. A regular carbide insert won't even scratch it.
