I purchased 2 types of seeds from the DC Seed Exchange (of which I HIGHLY recomend).
This is Magic Strains Bubba Trouble and Nite Blood. They are a couple of weeks old.
My PROBLEM IS, the Nite Blood went into imediate flower??? It is barely 6cm Tall, the other is 12cm tall and NOT flowering.
Should I cut my loss and pull the Nite Blood and start Over???
Hs this happened to any of YOU!! Does it happen often. I am nearing my wits end on Auto Flowers.
Thanks to all that respond,

That plant won't produce much at all. I've had similar things happen, not that small though. It will take a whole flower cycle and will produce little beyond what you see.
I personally haven't really ever seen the point of growing an auto over photo.
May I ask why you're choosing auto's?

I wanted to try it all, but even when I get good looking plants the smoke is not as good.
My photoperiod plants have ALL been superior, but I did grow White Widow autos that were killer.
I have tried at least 15 varieties from the best seed stock supposedly in the world but nothing has come close to photoperiod plants.
I am not giving up but I am close.

I am beginning to see the light, 95% of my great weed comes from photoperiods
Not saying ill never grow them. I have a bunch of autos i have been given for free and will eventually grow them because if its free its for me but i will never spend money on them.

I probably have $800 to 1k in Auto seeds, I will continue to try to hone my skills.
But I wish I had my money back, plus all the cRap I have used on them to try to be successful.
But right now the only REAL medicine in the cabinet is my killer bud from photoperiod plants.
Every harvest time people who have money to buy whatever they find at dispensaries come knocking.
Even sharing the crap they pay as much as $25 to 30 per gram. My last harvest was a fraction of that.
Autoflowers are individually finicky and very little accurate reference material can ever be found because each type of auto has its own rules.
What a waste of most importantly time and less importantly money IMO
I pulled the plant, In our state you can only have a certain amount of full grown and seedlings.
What a WASTE

Im sorry for your lose of money hope you look into more reg/feminized seeds next. Plus photoperiods you can clone but cant do that with autos.
Ive got 70+ seeds on hand now with less than 20 being autos.
Hope lesson learned and you invest more into more seeds.
Autos have there purpose but imo not in indoor grow.

I agree with all you have said.
I will never waste more money, but as a sideline I will continue to TRY them while concentrating on photoperiod grows.
Enough is enough of $ and time wasted, but to have no 12 on 12 off would of been nice

You realize you are talking to clowns that come in the AUTO sections and say they don't value/grow autos? You should let them go kick rocks and get advise from those that do. First was Mango Smile from Mephisto and rest, Galaxy Brain. Both mostly Sativas.6-24 Day 106.jpg20211127_071043.jpg20211202_075409.jpg20211202_090355.jpg20211226_213712.jpg

To those saying Autos don't yield you're sadly mistaken some can, I personally do not grow Autos anymore but I had my fun in a 4x8 tent with 2 x Mars Hydro TSW-2000 (true 350w) LED Fixtures.

5 gallon pots of mother earth coco/perlite and I was running Advanced Nutrients Coco-Connoisseur by itself no additives at full strength start to flush. AN in my experience roasts the leaves but will make some stacked colas if you treat them right.

I would avoid Autos and also you should look into a brighter light because Ruderalis aka AutoFlower will begin to flower very soon if it doesn't have a good amount of light, judging by the size those plants were stressed into flower from too little light.

Auto haters what’s you expect. Let them autos go. Maybe surprised. All I do is autos because of light leak issues time restraints and space Don’t have to worry about light change and in 90 days will be done. And no one ever complained of the smoke. Just find you some good yielding ones.9E8207E6-8A82-4824-A024-605EBC3BD4B2.png72F10A4A-AC50-482A-A13D-1E2AF9CD101A.pngB5F6375A-91A6-4EAE-8A5E-1181B6D4CED3.png

Don't take this the wrong way, but the problem isn't the autoflower seeds or strains, it's the grower. Maybe keep honing your skills on photos were you can work on veg issues for longer then maybe come back to all those auto seeds you have stockpiled.

Serious question, dont take it wrong either.
What benefits do you find with autos, that outweigh growing photo's?
I can think of a few situations where they would be well suited, just curious of yours

They were great when I only had one tent. I could run multiple strains and start them at different times. No worries about light leaks and the extended light schedule gave me more of a time window to work on them. Quality wise and in every other aspect they are inferior. Some by a little and some by a lot.
