Plants budding... Leaves changing color?

I posted this in the newb section so everyone doesn't cuss me out in the other sections for asking a stupid question but now that my plants are starting to bud finally I have noticed that most of the leaves are starting to lose their color. I have ben clipping off the dead ones when it looks like they're ready to go. Anyways my question is, that this is a normal growing phase of the plant right?

I have talked to other growers and they have said that their plants started losing their leaf color n stuff when they started budding too. Also my other question is, should I be clipping off the little leaves that are forming from the buds? Thanks everyone.

yes it is normal to see some yellowing of the leaves. The severity is usually pending on the growers experience and the breed your working with. I have found the greener you can keep them through the grow the more fruit you get in the end. Only trim off leaves that are dead and drying up. you can have a bright yellow leaf but the plant is still pulling carbs from it so leave it be. as for the small leafs forming inbeteen the buds i would assume you have some kind of deficiency because that is new grow and it should stay green. plus its part of your bud and you should get some sugar on it. hope i could help

welll I get the same thing but I had a deffieciency. And when the leaves just die off i do clip but other wise NO do not cut those leaves they are the solar panels for your buds and what not.

Everyone seems to point to nitro defiency , however this is really from the HPS bulb. try flowering under halide. they will stay dark green but have small tight flowers.

during flowering it is very common for the plant to lose leaves and this will always happen in my gardens. i have accepted it and stuck with a normal feeding schedule despite small changes in leaf color during flowering

I bought that book "how to get over 8oz of marijuana for under $100" and even the pictures in the book had the leaves discoloring a little bit and becoming dead.

I was more talking about the leaves that are intertwined with the buds... u know the little leaves that poke out from the side of the bud and what not... shoudl I clip those? A lot of times you can buy weed and have some nice crystally leaves wrapped in the bud so I wasn't sure if I should leave them or not

yea new985 usually the chlorophyl (green pigment) with make the color in the leaves start to change color because of climate change. are you growing outdoors or indoors?

This is most DEFINITELY false. These are called sugar leaves and are food storage devices for the flower (bud) of the plant. These are trimmed at harvest time and used to make trim hash, or are left on, or are made scissor hash out of. Do not defoliate your plants unless you are cloning, FIM'ing, topping, or have a diseased branch. If you use something like SuperSoil, your leaves will turn color naturally, but they will be like fall colors, not deficiency or lockout colors.

Maybe he was just stoned & didn't look bro... who knows..

If your leaves are turning DARK green then it's usually going to be too much nitrogen, cut back a bit on N especially during flowering. Also it's typical to lose 1/3 or so of the fan leaves through flowering
