Platinum LED

The aeon led is overpriced and not very good! there are way better options for the $

I thought they might be over priced but now that I received the light it in my opinion is not over priced at all. I bought the AG-1500 and I checked the actual power draw and it really is 1050watts. It is covering such a large area in my 6x6 grow tent I shouldn't have a problem flowering all the plants in here. It came standered with wifi control as well so im pretty pumped about that. Its comes out to 1.85 per watt can someone tell me if that is decent? I will post pics of my lights progress if anyone's interested

Seems expensive for Epi-whatever diodes. But, not as bad as some other rebranded Chinese imports (Kind, Lush, et. al.).

IMO, you'll need 1000w with those diodes. Where, 600w of Area 51 (four RW-150) would have been equivalent, at the same price, but lower heat and electrical consumption.

Ill post pictures for everyone of the progress because the lumens this thing puts out leads me to believe that it will create thick dense buds unlike the popcorn buds I got from so of the other leds I have purchased. Lets hope for the best right
 
Here is my first pic of using my new AG-1500 Aeon Grow light. This sucker is bright as hell.

Hey gus. I ordered 2platinum p300s last week, they should be arriving soon. I´m going to flower my 4x4 tent with the two p300s and a 400w mh or hps. What makes the p300s so bad in your opinion? The wavelengths they list on the site seem to be pretty good.....
 
Do you mean my that I´ll just end up paying more for electricity? I´m thinking with 2 p300s and a 400 hps or mh the plants should do pretty well in a 4x4 area...

I mean that there are LEDs that can convert 70% of electricity into light and there are also LEDs which convert less than 20% of electricity into light. You can be sure that these "P300" are not 70%-efficient ones. They're also quite expensive for what they are.

I'd prefer 400W HPS over 2 P300s.

They will grow.,but it's old tech. The spectrum is poopy.and platinum coverage area is loopy. Send Em back? If they take back?

If u want the best for your plants? Get the optic cxa3070 with the 3k 80

Yep. Cpt. Hindsight says you should have asked before buying.
I don't know and can't know since I haven't tried them. But if they used any quality LEDs, they would mention it. They don't and play it good ol' magic spectrum way.
That said, yes, I'd prefer one 400W HPS over 2 P300s.

Thats a loaded statement. No one is making similar grow lights with 70% efficient LEDs. They'd have to run at such a low current they'd be cost prohibitive.

But yeah, platinum is Chinese old tech. Not worth the investment.
 
I live overseas so sending them back would be pretty expensive...they list the spectrum at 380nm/415nm/440nm/460nm/480nm/615nm/630nm/660nm/720nm/740nm/760nm and say say the diodes are from bridgelux...

Bridgelux makes blue chips only. And certainly not the best.

It is. But the point was to explain efficiency as he was obviously quite lost.
