So as time goes on just like every other market better products show up. If you are looking to upgrade to the newest and better lighting options, COBs is the way to go. Timber for example sells parts to build your own and complete hanging units ready to go. As Olive Drab green indicated there are several Companies available that can get you into COBs whether you build your own or opt for complete sets. He named a few of them.

I dunno about that last part. But I'll refrain from pushing it, lest we spiral out of control.

I would suggest replacing his P300s with more COBs entirely, when he can afford them. I think in the meantime, the COBs at the ends will cause crossover amplification of the panels in the middle and will also make sure the edges of the perimeter are covered with adequate light. I figure if he's got them, he might as well use them until he can get more COBs for replacements.

Dude.....his results are bullshit. He even admitted he's never finished a grow with them. He's just not intelligent which makes it much easier to stand behind a product that someone with a little LED intelligence can see is total bullshit.

First of all 1gpw+ with HID is no easy feat, tried for years, never happened. Came close with a vert 600w SE, stadium style.

Growmau5 1.9 run isn't accurate, basically semi-wet weight unfortunately.

It was still over 1.5GPW. But the 1GPW thing with the HID thing was my point. It's not something so easily achieved, which is why I feel Platinum/AdvancedPlatinum isn't capable of 1.5GPW.

Chip On Board LED. Make sure the COBs you get are either Gen 7 Vero29Cs, Cree CXB3590s, or Citizen CLU048/058. 3500k, 80-90 CRI is optimal.

If the brand of emitters aren't Cree, Bridgelux/Vero, or Citizen and if the driver isn't Meanwell, don't use it.
 
I didn’t lie about anything… I corrected myself and was trying to stat that it’s right on par with the around 2.5 I pulled with HPS with the same strain and I expect it to do damn near the same… just as I stated in my journal.
So you think if someone accidentally miscommunicated something and corrects themselves immediately when they realize…their a lair? Yeah okay...

At this point I don’t really care what any of you naysayers think I grow great plants and they yield awesome results and I’ve been doing it for years…
I got on this thread because I was very impressed with how the PLED’s have out preformed my HPS setup SO FAR and it’s a month into flower.
Many of you have stated on this thread that it can’t be done or anywhere close to it because Pled sucks and is garbage for 100 reasons and they don’t flower for shit…

I have to call BS on that... there producing very well and continue to do so.
Looking at pics of the same strain in the same stage with the HPS VS Pled... the LEDs buds looks thicker and healthier… so why wouldn’t I expect to get damn near the same?

On a side note…. many of you really should be ashamed of yourselves.
This forum was made for growers to come together and discuss weed all around… Instead half the threads on this forum have people being as mean and hateful as possible… you do know you can get your points across without being total jackass's right?…

And keep digging that hole - You were clearly stating that you had pulled a certain amount off of two Pled panels. It's right there in the quote above. You even did the math based off of 500 watts, not 1000. And then you have the balls to tell others that they should be ashamed of themselves?

The point being made here is that dollar for dollar, you can purchase a MUCH better light than a Platinum. That's just a simple fact. I'm sorry you bought some outdated Chinese panels, but guess what? I did too! I own 3 Platinums. I didn't know much about LED tech a few years ago, and they seemed like a good option at the time. They grew decent weed, sure, but then I began researching and learning about real led lights and realized that Platinums weren't all that great after all.

Promoting Platinums on this forum is going to get you laughed. That's just how it is. Why, knowing what you now know, would you try to convince any newb to purchase one of these lights when there are far better options for the money? That just doesn't make sense

I'm not calling you anything, I'm being strictly factual and only talking about facts and science. My only argument is they won't break 1GPW. They will flower fine, but maybe a couple ounces per plant max. I'll also say you did not pull 2.5GPW dried and cured.

Could you please show me your grow currently, along with your food, wattage of lights, and how long they were veg'd as well as their total age?

I pulled around 2.8 pounds with HPS off three plants that's roughly 1.3 per watt... If these Led's do damn near the same at half the watts that's around 2.5.... do you understand what i was getting at now? So..I'm sorry if I was stoned and didn't originally take the time to properly get my point across and it looked like I lied... you can keep beating that dead horse if you would like...

You probably didn't dry or cure it long enough. It isn't possible you grew or are about to grow 2.5GPW dried and cured. With LEDs or HPS.
