Happy to help! That's why we are here. I've already had all the common problems in DWC and tried almost everything.
Had good result running alive system with beneficials in the beginning before being hit by the dreadful pythium root rot. Then I went sterile and have never looked back. My best runs have all been in sterile systems. Some people say they don't exist lol.
Here's my newcomers roots, one week since transplant. Have some issues myself with a bag of low quality Calcium Nitrate which caused some Calcium lockout.
Almost impossible to get a proper kind locally. Think I've found a contact who sells it locally (Yara Liva Calcinit), no stores have it on their shelfs.

I think you should start a sterile regiment using Chlorine. Then you don't have to worry that much about water temps. My roots explode just over 77F.
Oversaturation with stagnant water causes more loss of oxygen than temps, for me it's not a problem. My water temp are typical about 80F in the rez.

Lol you are schooling me I have never used chlorine. I have briefly seen someone say pool shock.. I have chlorine tablets and pool shock but never ever though of using for anything other then my pool..

Pool shock(calcium hypochlorite) is the most cost effective chlorine supplement there is. Plants actually use chlorine, some nutrient brands incorporate it into their formula. 0.1g in 10 gallons is 1ppm of free residual chlorine. That's calculated with 60-70% granulate concentration.
Aim for 2-3ppm in DWC.
Optimal temp in DWC (hydro) is like 68... My temps were 78.. I never did the ice cube thing, I did frozen water bottles before... You shouldn't have to with the UC roots thing I told you about.

UC Roots is like paying 60+ $ for a gallon jug of water. Pool Shock is way more cheaper and effective.
Do that then I guess.. I'm sure its better than that, worked for me and lasts me 9 months in a 60 sq foot grow
What are you using to test ppm for chlorine. Do you recommend a good tool

Nothing really, you don't need it. It's really hard to overdo if you stay at recommended dosages. Dissipation rate is about 48-72 hours depending on temperature and amount of aeration.
You can even go by smell to tell when you need to add more. You have to buy an accurate chlorine meter to really measure chlorine. This involves chlorine reagent tablets and a chlorine meter, pretty tedious thing to do when it's not needed. The dosage is to low to be measured/detected by chlorine strips.
I add 0.4g Pool shock (Calcium hypochlorite) every third day to my 20 gallons(75 liters) reservoir. This gives me ~2ppm residual chlorine. The amount added will not affect pH or EC in one to two weeks when res is changed.

Ok u been staring at this roots. Mine never look like that. I will get several long roots then at the end of those long roots and explosion of roots. Your roots are exploding out of the net pot... here is a video after a trim while doing a water change..

Sack that dwc shit off and grow in coco. Way easier and it will taste better

That's why I'm pretty strict when it comes to watering in the beginning. You want the plant to seek out moisture. Your roots doesn't look bad to be honest.
If you introduce saturated amount of water and aeration from the get go you wont get as good coverage of tap roots going through the netpot. The plant think it already has enough water and nutrients available, hindering root developing.

There's a lot of ways to the finish line. Pretty narrow minded to tell someone their method is superior when you can grow trees with either method. There's pros and cons with every method.
Some strains taste better in hydro IMO. Super lemon haze is one of those strains.
I have done both lots. Coco is far more hassle free and results in better taste.

Keep doing what's working for you then. I don't preach any method over another. It's about how you implement said technique.
