what is it your trying to achieve? the lights called " grow lights" are not what you want, they have to much red spectrum. you want phillips natural daylight 20 watt flouro`s or cool white.for veging you want the highest kelvin number you can find, anything over 5000k and for flower lower k around 2700 k. i would recomend hps for flower though if you want bigger nugs. but that would depend on your grow erea to.

im in the like exact same size closet i cut my closet in middle made it 3x3 by like 5
and got mylar everwhere and have 8 cfl's
i figured cfl's better for it for heating issues, and not really a way to cool it as much as an hps would nees

personaly i dont like mg of anything but thats me. i believe that soil has slow release nutes so be careful not add to much. cfl`s will give off quite abit more heat, they are more eficient electricity wise. i use natural daylight phillips flouro`s. 20 watts, i use 4 of them. i`ve got pic`s in my gallery of my set up in a dresser. what do you have for a fan? and nutes
so far im not adding nutes..im using the miracle gro moisture control and a stand up fan thats blowing them around a little...not sure on the nutes to use... i like the idea of the fluoros better , but have heard hps lights will give better buds is this true? thx for the help bonz appreciate it so much

hps will give bigger buds then cfl's, but cfl's are cheaper and dont get as hot and dont need to be cooled as much. for a small space cfl is great

i agree hps will give bigger nugs. you can get smaller hps, i believe down to 50 watts where i`m from i think they come: 50/75/150/175 and up.also with a small space like that you have to watch heat, those hps get mighty hot. you need some kind of exhaust and intake on that room to move the air. i use a 400 watt ballast and a 430 watt hps bulb and a 450 cfm fan to move the air. to save money if this is a first grow i would stick with cfl`s
k wasnt sure with what to go with in the cfl, so i got 2 150 watts 2600 lumens each sylvania soft white....am i on the right track with the flouros or do i need to do something different?...and with these lights how close do they need to be to my babies?....went for a ride today on the motorcycle and all i could think about was getting lights..lol im hooked..thx yall
