Power Strip CFL Fixture

now that i think about it thats alot of lights. with my lights drawing .34 amps a piece thats 16.32 amps for the total setup. im no electrician. will one wall outlet handle 16.32 amps or could i run an extension cord to another outlet and use a total of 2 outlets. im thinking all the wall outlets are connected though. like i said im no electrician. also would 1104w of cfl be overkill for what im wanting to do?

It varies. Im no electrician either but I think it varies on age of house. Ive actually tripped my circuit breaker several times. Sucks because I have a portable a/c unit I just got and cant hook up because within 30minutes after it starts, the breaker trips. I actually want to hook up several more things but cant. Think it will only handle the 400w HPS I am going to hook up. Wanted to keep all the lights ive got, another inline fan, and the portable a/c but no way will it handle it back here. Thought about drilling a hole thru wall to the bathroom and stealing that power, but the bathroom runs on same breaker as this bedroom. Very saddening. Need to speak to an electrician to see what I can do.

Im currently living in a doublewide trailer while I look for a house (really plan to stay here for a year or two while I save money for bigger down payment on house). But no attic. =/ Also cant access through crawl space as trailers have 2 sets of floors.

I made one of these today. I picked up 2x power strips, 6x 2-prong to socket adapter, 6x 23w 6500k watt lights, and 4x 42w 2700k flower lights. I found that with my strips you can get 6 23w lights on it, but only 4x 42w lights because of the size. I'm thinking of hanging 2 more 42w bulbs in the box with them. These things are highly adaptable and quite awesome.

if you get a clamp light, 5 bucks at HD, it's even more mobile, just take off the reflector and clamp, and it's a light socket you can move around with 6 feet of chord to work with.... and the socket is rather small, so if you need to cut a hole, then move the light, the hole you have to "plug" is only about 1.5 inches wide....

Here is a simple setup I made for about $10-15 (thats if you dont already have any of the supplies). I really only spent about $8 on it as I already had the power strips.

The tin piece was already shaped like that, got it form Lowes for about $4. It was actually about a foot longer but my tent is rather small so I cut some of it off.

You can also get cheaper chain, but I have a problem with being cheap, so I got the $1 per foot chain instead of the 30cents per foot.

Have you guys seen the cfls that are equivalant to 300w? I have only found them at 1 walmart not any of the others but atleast i have seen them and know they exist. You screw them in just like any other household light bulbs. Owe, i have only grown a handfull of times and the best piece of advice i can give is to have fun.
