Prep mode

I've done that before when I was newer at growing. Didn't notice much a difference but I think grower error may have had something to do with it lol.

I can imagine it works good to get through a bunch of large seed batches fast. Plus you end up with a bunch of tall, lanky mother's you can top and train easily. Then you get the monster crop effect I think it's called. Where you get a nice bushy growth from the flower clusters when it revegs.

Just wondering how much time it saves you overall? I can generally sex my seeds "naturally" by about week 5-6 pretty accurately (about 95%). Obviously varies with sativa leaning plants.

I'll have to try this again on my next seed run and see if it really saves me any time. Should give plants the same effect from taking flowering clones and revegging, right? The monster crop or super crop I believe it's called?

When doing as many seeds as i am its just eaiser this way. It would take up too much space and a waste of a lot of soil for the plants that turned out to be male if I just let them grow out for 6 to 7 weeks until they decided to show on their own and they don't always show on their own. Takes me roughly 5 weeks including germination this way. And they don't really go through a traditional revenge they're only a week to 10 days old when I start the 1212 and when they sex out there are no budding tops the only white pistols that emerge are the 2 that lets you know its a female. You'll see as the grow progresses.

Right on, I'll have to give it a go next time I try and run through some seeds. How often you gotta water in the solos by the time you sex them? I find by the time I get them sexed I'm watering every day, gets to be a pain. Subbed and gonna follow this.

Now i water every 3 days. Once sexed the females will go in 3gal pots until May. And i check on them daily but watering stays the same. 3gals hold more soil so in turn holds more water. Ill water according to their need. I do like the soil to dry (not desert dry) before the next watering just a good way to ensure I don't get hit with root rot. The weight will let me know. I never let him go without water to the point of the leaves drooping.

Proof of ones ignorance! So here's a few that have shown to be male simply by switching a light cycle in the plants early age. So for the ignorant inexperienced grower who posted this response that I'm replying to maybe you should pick up a book instead of simply regurgitating what another ignorant grower told you.

I dont do it that early, I wait till up pot to 3 gallon pots and do it naturally in April in a hoop house to harden off to cold. Plants are knee or thigh high by then. Transplant outdoors mid late may.
