Preparing for autoflower grow indoor

Beautiful sprouts developing fast after losing their seed casings, i guess the light and watering are going ok as i dont see any sign of burning or over watering, i will keep you updated, cheers, im happy of how the girls overcome the difficult initial phase!

They have a pretty emerald green colour, i was a little worried (still) about the soil, how it reacts when i water it...it takes the water but, to me, gets muddy and then hard...dont like that, but since it appears to be working...i just will go ahead, hope it continues without problems!
 
Not exactly sure what your soil is?
Do you have a fan to LIGHTLY blow on the babies?
I re-read a lil bit, I understand you are watering by droplets?
How much exactly?

Yes, they have a fan that rotates (its not still) so it blows very lightly and in passes, they are in a 24hr light schedule (being auto seeds i want them to get the most light for yield)
Watering: i water with a tea spoon in this instance, veeeeeery little water and checking how it drains, how it absorbs in the soil. Soil is a compost sold to me by the growshop, its suposed to have all the good stuff...i just dont like how it reacts to the water (i have seen one too many videos of people watering their plants haha, a little ocd with this issue, as i had a previous bad experience), thats why i control a lot the watering part.

If you saw i also have nutes and a suplement, but that will be feed later, right now is only light, water and a little breeze.

Okay, first, I am by no means an expert.

I know the basics from a FK ton of research.

Most of my research has, in fact, been autos. That's what I am growing.

Watering was the most difficult thing to grasp, for me. ALOT of conflicting ideas.
Firstly, I do believe in final pot from the get go.

I am using 3 gallon pots. I water them like they are in solo cups, increasing amount as they grow.
Personally, I think a tsp. is not near enough. Overwatering is common but, don't err on the side of underwatering. The beginning stage is the time to build your roots. I use 175ml of bubbles tap water. I prefer to use a plastic squeeze bottle. I pour slowly and gently at the base only. I want to send that tap root to the bottom in search for water. About 3 days. Reapeat.

If you are watering a tsp at a time I suspect your roots are hungry. Feed them. just give enough time to dry out before watering again.
 
i 2nd that @yeatster evn after watering them , if u wanted to you cud still spray thetop surface of tur soil to get humidity up, ive got a bucket of wet compost in mine which i keep wet and i mean WET!!!!! just for humidity

Tipper, be careful of fungus gnats. Worse than low humidity!
I was using, what may be considered not a good idea, a hanging towel, as a whick, with 1/3 of it in a container of water. 3x a day I would flip it as it dried on top. I would wash towels and containers 1 a week. I got lazy....1 every 2 weeks....boom, fungus gnats. I was lucky enough to catch them relatively early and, cross my fingers, have eradicated them.
They love wet soil. I strongly urge you to consider a different method, my freind.

I have to get on with measuring room temp, humidity and water ph
 
@yeatster ok i on that method i know once they start o flower they wont need the extra humidity , im only concerned now cos its a brand new set up its hot n bright, so im trying to work it all the time
 
Update and question: look at the pictures? Notice something bad or weird with the plants?

They really want a lot of light...the bulbs are 4 inch...maybe less, although they are small bulbs...i will get it closer and watch out for any sign of burning
 
Cfls can be very close.
What is the wattage of those.

Something to consider:
Most of the light actually comes from the side of the bulb.
Most of the heat is at the tip.

May consider finangling this cfls on their side.

Is this in a cardboard box?
If so, do you close it?
Fans?
Definitely consider a temp/hygrometer, wollyworld, like $10

Bulbs are 40w, now they are sideways to the plants, it is a cardboard box with tin foil, a side is open with a fan blowing softly
 
UPDATE: Growth was going allright, you can see the plants have new set of leaves, but i noticed the leaves are a little down, like they are under/over watered? could be the first because i had to move to another room and re install the lights and all that (stress for them) and just before taking the pictures i watered them, soil was dry, i dont think is overwatered. Now im waiting to see how they progress, what do you think?
