Problem with new clones and seedlings

Hi All!

Thanks for any advice/help in advance!

I am a newbie grower with an indoor setup (2’x2’x4’ tent with 400 watt LED light)
I am having some issues that appear to be nutrient burn. The seedlings and clones are in an organic soil mix and I am only using distilled water. I wanted to get some advice on whether I have diagnosed the issue correctly and then solutions.

Anything that says "soil + fertilizer" is gonna be WAAAAY too hot for seedlings/clones. I do plain coco coir or biobizz light mix. Black gold seedling soil is also pretty solid...

Temperature is between 74-78 F during day with 55% RH and 65-70 with 65% RH when light is off
Your problem is the mix, that's way to hot and heavy for something that sensitive. IDK what I'd do at this point, transplanting is just gonna add more stress but you need a much lighter, mellow mix for this phase of growth. Live and learn ;-)

Is there any saving the clones?
If they're in rockwool they'll transplant a little easier, if not, actually either way, just wait till the soil is completely dry then it'll be easier for you to take them out w/o damaging the roots into her new planter cup. Transplant should be fine just don't give any more wayer on these if you know the soil is too nutrient rich. Good luck.

Absolutely bro! Post some new pics down the line // grow journal!
For sure! I’ll post some new pics in a couple of days after they have been transplanted to better soil. Transplanting tomorrow after buying the soil. Again, thanks for the help, I just got the clones and don’t want to kill them!

Again thank you everyone for the help! I was able to take some individual pictures of the ladies after moving them into the smart pots with Happy Frog. Since I have only gave them distilled water since transplanting, soil pH is a little high, sitting at almost 7. Going to get some pH down tomorrow to fix for next watering either tomorrow night or Tuesday. Not sure when I should start adding some nutrients to the water. Clones are rebounding nicely and the new growth looks much better. Seedlings are starting to rebound but growing slowly. They are bag seed and I ordered some new seeds in the event they aren’t going to make it so it’s not going to be the end of the world if they don’t pull through.

Until the first true leaves form they won’t need ANY food... they are using stored energy from their seed still... and the first couple weeks after that will get enough nutes from any decent soil
