problems with my hijack

Can't beat free, true this. Try to get as much wood out of it as you can next time you get some free stuff. That does help out quite a fair bit, especially getting rid of the larger pieces. some woods also encourage mold growth, which nobody wants!

i should've ordered the topsoil instead.... but "garden soil" just sounded so much better:?

Yes the topsoil would've been more ideal, I think. You live, you learn. You can compensate for now, though.

that's right bro... you live, you learn, and you get topsoil for $30 a cu yd

If you want a plant and walk away grow, just use 100% worm castings in your pots. Nothing more need be done. :peace:

i actually was planning to get some wome castings, bat guano, blood/bone meal, and some polymer crystals.... which is why they arent in the ground yet

gotta go pick the boys up, but my buddy called.... money is in the bank, ordering all i need for the grow show..... gonna pick up that natures nectar.. the N,P, and K; so these hungry girls can have a nute buffet

get em in the ground, they will thank you
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

So much this. If you're doing outdoor soil, it might as well be directly in the ground. That almost ensures maintenance free growing, but it doesn't ensure a good yield. Still gotta pay attention to it if ya want the fat buds, sadly.

i need to get some goodies for my soil.... sadly, i have to do this like a guerilla grow... have the choppers out every year, so dont want an easily visible trail to my plants.... im sure i'll be making a few trips out to it for feeding, but i want some of those polymer crystals to hopefully be able to let the rain water them....

looks like they are starting to look a bit better... i'll wait a day or so and see what happens... fed them again yesterday, with some epsom salt thrown in

they are better:hump:.... hungry lil girls that hijack is... but kalikit, do believe you were on the money about the wood content... even my veggies are yellowing bad despite heavy feedings, so i researched your claim, and evidently, the microscopic critters that break down the wood, also love nitrogen:evil:.... they'll be alright in the end though; here's some pics

those look a lot like mine. :)

i must be doing something right then.... might actually have been listening this whole time;-)...
i actually got a suprise from one of the girls the other day... i was pulling off a few dead leaves and just admiring the amazing branch formation and long calyxes... when i saw a dead, brown calyx... so i went to pick it off, and much to my suprise, it had a big healthy seed in it:confused:... upon further inspection, i found a lil yellow stipule poking out from a calyx above:hump:... soo.. i imagine that it would be a feminized, hijack F????? (can you fill in the blank?;-))

and it is planted and sprouting btw:hump:

what? a calyx and a male flower on the same plant? not on my hijack. in 5 years i have never seen a hermy. NEVER. i've grown out 100's of them. :-|

so eh.... what happened then?? cause im pretty sure of my finding... but i never said it was an actual male flower, just a lil naner... it has been into flower and then thrown back into veg.... got the single blades, whorled, twisted leaves from that, so a single stipule didnt/wouldnt suprise me....

but i suppose it could have been a tiny, malformed, yellowed leaf;-)

i have never seen that. maybe at 12 weeks into flowering, but never like you are describing. :-|

i trust you.... like i said, it could possibly been a small, yellow leaf... i picked it off, the world will never know... nothing on my other two girls though...

i did have a male hijack and a male blueberry.... but they were kept inside.... but it is still a possibility. as i said before, its sprouting now, so i imagine we will see
