Haha they are all going strong as hell; I’m about to transplant the 6 into 1.5 gallon pots tonight. When the 4516 is done, the Banana Runtz and the Umami/Superseed Cream Soda are next up in the tent. Here are some pics of the 4516 bx if y’all haven’t seen my grow journal, I’m in week 6 of 10:

My Banana Runtz was a 10 pack as well. Every Runtz or Runtz cross I’ve grown are such horrible yielders. And I’m on top of my shit as far as I can push my yield growing in living organic soil.
it was a pretty limited release. It wasn’t easy to get a pack. I missed it day and date, but then a pack showed up in the mail from an “admirer” (pretty sure it was Sol Seeds). It’s an interesting plant, with more than a few keepers in each pack, but I’ve been finding plants with better terpene profiles and color in KRE8’s Runtz crosses. The Pebbles Runtz is probably my favorite so far, and the Runtz V2 is dank as well. The Pebbles Punch is such a Killer Plant.
I remember the Jolly Rancher c. 2011-2012. It was really nice. As far as purple plants with 28%+ THC & really original / dank terpene profiles, there’s nothing I’ve ever seen that Purps so consistently as plants crossed to Mass Medical Seeds Star Pupil (Purple Thai x ( Afghani x PCK)), especially the Prayer Pupil (Bodhi’s Prayer Tower #9 (sativa dominant) x Star Pupil) & Putang (Tangie x Star Pupil), which has some of the best effects I’ve had in awhile, tied with MzJill’s Jillybean Lime (Chernobyl x Jillbean). Both have similar, clear headed, creativity inducing, giggling euphoric highs, perfect for wake n bakes. And while not every Prayer Pupil will be purple, even the purple flowers push 30% THCA and have a very high CBGA content. It’s got a unique soapy taste as well, while the Putang smells phenomenal & is Orange / Grapey. My favorite thing about the Star Pupil (always purple), is that it’s a 50/50 hybrid. Most consistently purple plants are indica heavy.
I definitely miss the days when I could pull 10+ ounces off a plant growing in a 3 gallon pot, but the quality of living organic soil grown plants, in almost every category, can’t be beat. Only yield and maybe bag appeal for some plants. Although the terpenes from living organic soil grown ladies is tops, and usually the trichomes are as well. It’s really just yield and sometimes density / appearance that salt based nutrients can have on living organic soil grown plants.
Funny thing though is that the most advanced/finicky plants tend to be far easier to grow, & yield so much more in living organic soil, since so often, they don’t need many nutrients. So even going easy on them with mineral fertilizers is too much.
I rarely spend more than $150 or maybe $200 on a pack, with the exception of the occasional Aficionado drop, & even then it’s rare. And I don’t buy clones. Everyone using the same “elite cut” to breed with o only hurts the uniqueness of their cultivars and does the gene cannabis gene pool a disservice. I love pheno hunts, especially hunting through a pack from one of the many excellent breeders working today, in whose 10+ fem packs there’s usually a few keepers and 1-2 plants worth breeding with.
Hunting great males is a more time consuming and difficult experience, and I usually grab at least 2-3 packs of regular seeds whether I’m hunting for a female or a male to be safe.
As for the Umami / Super Seed Co. soda plants that all have price tags of $200-$250, I snagged a pack of Seattle Soda back in 2015 that I never popped, and it’s the common denominator among all of those cultivars, so I’m popping the pack soon to see what goodies I find. Hopefully a worthy male, but I’ve got no issues with making feminized seeds, since they don’t mess with the genetics or increase hermaphrodite chances like so many people think. That’s just genetics 101.
Before people discovered how to use colloidal silver, STS, etc., to make stable feminized seeds, people were making feminized seeds by stressing the hell out of a plant to force hermaphrodites. All Cannabis females will herm given enough stress, although some are extremely difficult to force pollen out of, & some are almost too easy. Many females will stop producing ethylene when they haven’t been pollinated, or they’re able to sense that no males are around, & will herm within 4-5 weeks. Fortunately, the male flowers don’t appear until, or at least close enough to, harvest time to make any difference. For some genetic reason, long flowering tropical sativas don’t usually have this problem, which would otherwise make them very difficult to grow sinsemilla flowers from. Probably because they can still be pollinated so late in their flowering cycles.
I have found some truly incredible plants over the years, and am generally willing to trade clones, but finding genuine clones out here in Washington DC, & along most of the East Coast, is a serious mission, with the exception of plants that come from the Midwest or East Coast. After Lemon Crush won the Emerald Cup in 2017, I recall very few people out west were able to find the plant, but it’s cuttings were very available here for at least a few months. But usually it’s really rough - particularly for plants from out West.
I had to go through six scammers before I finally found a genuine cut of Cherry Pie back in 2016. But I suffered a loss of my entire stable in 2018, except for 6 flowering plants that I revegged, which was painful for sure, & it totally cleaned out my clone collection. You’d cry for me if you knew some of the genetics I lost.
But in the years since, I’ve found some of the most incredible plants I’ve ever had in my collection, & as I get ready to launch, I am only working with 3 clones: the breeders choice mmscuts of Putang & the original clone only Rick’s Pupil, & the original clone of Forbidden Fruit.
I also wasn’t ever a fan of any of the cookies plants. The high always seemed mediocre, and the claimed genetics weren't possibly accurate. There’s so many better plants out there to grow. However, Sunset Sherbet - especially the Blue Sherbet - & several phenos of the Gelato are really lovely plants. Especially the Bacio Gelato or Gelato 41, Gelato 45, Mochi Gelato, Açaí Berry Gelato, & Guava Gelato. And JBeezy’s Wedding Cake x Gelato 33 aka Ice Cream Cake has some really phenomenal phenos.
How did the 4516 Bx1 and Cream Soda come out? Your plants are definitely looking healthy and happy.
Over the next year as I get closer to officially launching, I’m mostly going to be hunting Thunderfudge Genetics, Irie’s Jack the Ripper preservation packs, MzJill’s newest versions of Green Avengers classics as well as her new Jillybean flavor packs, 707’s Kush Cleaner project, Hella Seed Co.’s Shiloh Massive bred Maks Gak crosses, Some Sunken Treasure Seeds drops, Aficionado’s Pancakez (Grape Pie (LA cut) x Cherry Noir #18 [Cherry Lime #4 x Chemdawg Special Reserve) x (Testarossa: Zkittlez x Long Valley Reserve BX1]), some more KRE8 genetics, & older gear I’ve been waiting until closer to launching my limited edition craft seed line like Citrique, Green Ribbon Bx3, Kimbo Kush, most of my Seed Junky packs, early Compound / Wyeast, and other older gear like the Seattle Soda, or Pre-96 Blueberry F2s, a lot of Snowhigh gear, Landrace seeds like Lebanese Blonde and Panama Red that’ve been vacuum sealed in a seed fridge, and classics I’ve been saving like the original SAGE, Sensi Star, Jack Herer, Kali Mist, Harmony, Casey Jones, etc. along with assorted selections from BOG, MMS, Oni, Thug Pug, Alphakronik, Doc’s Dank, In House, Cannarado, & other beans I’ve been saving for this stage.
