This might raise your spirits. Only 42 active cases (known) in your province so your chances of having it a pretty small, minuscule even. I’m sure it’s a cat hair :(.
I hope you are right! The rate of increase is down to 5.15%, but there are 428 cases and I figure with our rate of testing it could be around 5000 actual cases. We will know by the number of dead, so far there are two in the province. I figured there might be a hundred cases roaming around my home town of about 10,000, but my odds of contracting it are slight. I'm not too concerned at this point, if the throat gets sore, I'll be concerned. I do a temp check a couple of times a day.

By government you mean we, and if we decide you need to be vaccinated, you will be, likewise if we think you should die, you will, they do people in every day in America, death row is a busy place. Only the constitution protects you and that is open to interpretation by the SCOTUS.

Democratic societies can force to do things you don't want to, Millions were drafted and sent to Vietnam a few decades ago, I'm old enough to remember it and if I was and American I would have been old enough at 18 in 1973 to fight in the tail end of it. A lot of people didn't like getting drafted, some went to jail and some went to Canada, a lot stayed.
Oh, I see who is in control now.
So is it you, we have to blame for the current shit show. :bigjoint:
My dad was a Vietnam vet, 503 MP.
So I respect your view.

Cats are dumb pets :(.
Had dogs, had cats, cats are lower maintenance, but I love'em. I even feed the murder of crows who live in trees around my backyard to help them out through the winter, they are conditioned like chickens now! But I sometimes wonder if it's them or me who is being conditioned...

This was to point out how your statement was in conflict with it's self.
Not playin games, not playin you.

In short if you force someone against their will it is in line with fascism.
If you protest the use of force that is the opposite of fascism.

That is all I was saying.
I hope you understand.
Think about it a moment, please
You made up questions in the form of a strawman fallacy.

You wanted debate yet you ended it with a classic fallacy of logic.

Now you make a declarative statement as if your point was proven.
Think about it for a minute. You just had an argument with yourself and declared yourself correct.

lulz.

Here's a strawman back at you:
Why did you stop beating your wife?

I did not come here to play those kind of school yard games.
I was simply pointing out your statement was conflicting/ it did not make sense.
I was just reading it back to you as you wrote it, this way you could clarify your statement.
But whatever.
All this talk is a huge waste of you time and mine.
But you ain't plain' no games...LOL

Another strawman for you:
Does debating yourself make you a masterdebater?

Nothing but games with you I see... :bigjoint:
My definition of a troll:
A being without the intellectual power to respond in a rational manner.
But lonely enough that they still want to participate in the thread.

lulz at the bold face font.
You began our "debate" with strawman arguments and are now shouting made-up definitions at me.

I recently made a personal decision to stop smoking pot for a few reasons, primary among them was to increase my odds of survival in case I should contract covid-19. It's primarily a question of congestion, I'm coughing up tar in the mornings and smoking (tobacco) appears to be a risk factor for developing complications. I'm basing my decision mostly on common sense, because there is a paucity of reliable evidence.

I am considering doing some baking however (in more ways than one) seriously though I was gonna make some low test cookies and have a nibble on the weekends. I was searching for information on cannabis and immunity and I ran across this information in a google search and I'm plowing through it now looking for guidance. There is not too much one can say with any scientific certainty at this point in time, human trials are prohibited in the USA, it's still class 1, the most dangerous of drugs. In Canada it's different, but we are just getting going on studying the health impacts, good or bad.

The Health Effects of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: The Current State of Evidence and Recommendations for Research.

For those who want to cut to the chase:

Chapter Highlights
  • There exists a paucity of data on the effects of cannabis or cannabinoid-based therapeutics on the human immune system.
  • There is insufficient data to draw overarching conclusions concerning the effects of cannabis smoke or cannabinoids on immune competence.
  • There is limited evidence to suggest that regular exposure to cannabis smoke may have anti-inflammatory activity.
  • There is insufficient evidence to support or refute a statistical association between cannabis or cannabinoid use and adverse effects on immune status in individuals with HIV.

There's not too much point in pursuing definitive scientific answers in this area, mostly because of government policy. The US federal government doesn't give a fuck about pot smokers or their health, cannabis is still a class 1 drug in America, no human trials allowed, it's just too dangerous to give to people I guess. Looks like I might make some cookies this week.

Marijuana: 7 Health Myths Up in Smoke
  • Myth: Marijuana Definitely Destroys the Immune System
The jury is still out on whether or not marijuana impairs the immune system.

According to the National Institutes of Health, research shows THC has a negative effect on various immune cells, but there are no human studies to date which connect that effect with increased infection.

A 2002 study found that marijuana certainly has an effect on the immune system, "however, because of the complexity of the immune system, we can't say yet whether the effect we've observed in humans is good or bad," UCLA scientist Thomas Klein wrote.

Animal research seems to suggest trouble, but the NIH says the matter warrants more research.
