yeah, i hear ya. i mean its just a plant. i can understand when people are trying to make money off it. but wutever works for me, im not gonna shell out and arm and a leg for the materials when i got shit sitting around here.

my veg chamber used to be an entertainment center. add panda plastic and its a grow box!

when i get my flowering room rearranged and ready for plants ill post some pics. its gonna be a little different now that im gonna put in that 400hps. this will be my third light switch. started initially with 12 cfls and 4 shop fluoros. then i realized all the time and effort and money put into cfls was a waste, when i had enough space to grow with HID. i upgraded to a used 250 watt on board ballast hps. my friend just gave me his 400 watt remote ballast.

its gonna be a good summer.

oh yes! i took 10 more clones off my mother this morning. potted up 4 into veg.

just a note. i will never use peat pods again for cuttings. taking forever to root. it was all i had at the time. they are growing but slowly. they are the discs that you soak and the plump up. they work fine for seeds, but these 4 cuttings took forever to turn around.

also hooked up a heat pad for my clone box. the temp is hanging around in the 60's if i could get it to the 70's i think the rooting will pick up the pace.

my goal is to have between 20 and 30 small plants to put outdoors for the summer.
What process are you using now instead of peat pods? I am about to take some cuttings and would like to know as you seem to have found a fool proof way. I cut one clone, dipped it in water, then put it in a peat pod inside one of those humidity domes and it just started dying after a couple days. Thanks :)

keith i use promix for my cuttings. i found the peat pods were too dense, and took a long time for roots to build. they are great for seeds, but i wont use them in cuttings.

i use the promix in a peat pot. the promix is fairly neutral and is great for new plants. i fill my pots up and water them in twice. while the pots drain some, i trim off the tops of my mother plant, and some of the bottom branches too. i take all of the leaves and preflowers and other arms off the plant until there is one set of leaves, then growth tip. i use hormex rooting powder. i prepare the stem by cutting diagonally and using my finger nail to pull back a little of the outer stem material. dip into water, then dip into hormex, then place into a pre made hole, usually with a pencil. then gently pinch the soil around it so its some wut packed, and will hold up the cutting. repeat as many times as you would like. at first i did twice as many as i needed because some would be really slow, or just die. now none of em die, and they are ready for transplanting and veg chamber in 2 weeks.

as for light and water. thats an old grow bulb from a walmart fluoro grow lite. i leave that on 24/7 as i do with my veg chamber.

misting is the most important. for the first week you cant over mist. i mist everytime i walk by that room. srsly like every 20 minutes isnt even over doing it. after the first week i start cutting back on misting, because i want the roots to start developing and looking for water. im only watering and misting with straight water.

my suggestions are make sure your temp is right. i keep it between 70 and 75. dont water at all for the first week, just mist. the soil should have enough water because you watered them in before you planted the cutting. i found this grow, that with a heat mat under the box it makes my cuttings root about a week faster. down to 2 from 3.

if you can see i dont use the humidity dome, but just leave the plastic over the box to keep the moisture in. there is no fan. i just wave it every once and awhile.

good luck and good growing!

no problem keith, if it works for you, give me some rep+ plzy.

heck yes! got the 400hps all hooked up. fans running. the mother plant is in the flower chamber and soaking up some HID rays. the other plants in veg, are looking like they need a transplant up. waiting to see just how hot it gets in there. with the last light it was a pain to keep it under 80. but with the remote ballast im hoping to see a difference. right now i have an inline 340cfm fan for intake, and a passive exhaust at the very top of the chamber. i may need to install another inline fan.

thinking about hanging a couple cfl's inside the veg chamber. i got the 4 ft grow flouros in there now. also i want to add a couple muffin fans for each intake and exhaust.

pics coming soon.

I doubt they are Durban Poison.

I have grown Durban Poison outdoors and it is my All Time favorite bud. And yes they get tall as fuck! They are either mostly or 100% Sativas and your plants look to have a lot of Indica in them.

can you elaborate? because ive grown indicas, and this isnt anything like my previous indicas. also i had a good size bag of it, and the nug was very heady.

not that im doubting you, if you are gonna say something like that it would be cool if you could back it up with some info for me, and the others reading the thread.

moved 2 more plants into flowering. they are small and in 6 inch pots. i have been training them to grow off to the side, keep them lower if i can. pics of them to come in a couple days, since they arent much too look at it.

i added another fan and 2 100watt cfl's to my veg chamber. in the veg i potted up a bunch of the cuttings. they are on the upper shelf.

on the lower shelf where the ones that i potted up into 6 inch pots for more vegging. in another 2 or 3 weeks ill put more into flower.

ive decided to not put 20 or more outside, because i want to concentrate on the indoor. i will have 5 or 6 outside, but more close, and it will be easier to tend.

stay tuned, in another week we will have some good bud formations!

:peace:!

thanks loaded they should all be purple durban, or wutever the strain may be. you know how it is. i have just one hashberry seed from my last grow. its an option i might try. but i agree with you, there are too many clones and seeds just running around for free, or next to free, to be spending the big bucks on seeds. congrats on the green crack addition btw, i hear that shit is stavin! i intended for more of my plants to be outdoor, but decide to opt for more of a sog for my personal use. i dont wanna take the risk of my indoor and a large scale outdoor.

hopefully with a little luck and lots of people getting out to the voting boothes we will improve our medical laws drastically this fall. http://www.mainecommonsense.org

also thanks canadian....how come you cant do an indoor? just start small. last year this time i had 12 cfls. thanks again for stopping in keeping checking for updates, its gonna be fun!

Oh I remember your grow last year lol. But I can't do it because...well... i still live with the parents lol. I would do a computer case or some sort of stealth box, but my parents snoop like you wouldnt imagine so I'm not even gonna try. Hopefully my outdoor grows this year will be good. And as soon as I move out, I will be doing some indoor growing lol
