Hey, what is your feed schedule? How many ML per gallon are you putting in of each product? What is PH room temp, RH and PPM?
I do have a chiller. So how many ml of bleach u use ?Do you run a chiller? It's a little hit and miss with mixing organics and hydroponics without a chiller. It's not a matter of if but when you're gonna experience problems. I would drop drop the organics all together and run sterile.
It's almost impossible to get DWC stable through time without a chiller if you add organics.
I've run things sterile for many years. Just the complete plant food (jacks321), potassium silicate and bleach. I add 2-3ppm chlorine to everything added to the reservoir at nutrient change, top off etc.

Soon the bowl is full of Spaghetti's. Cheers!
50% of gh feed chartHey, what is your feed schedule? How many ML per gallon are you putting in of each product? What is PH room temp, RH and PPM?
So i use 3 stage filtere pom is 250 before adding nutes. Light is 640 watts about 6 feet above at 50% dimmed. I have apogee par meter and readings are 250-300 parOk I looked through the thread and found water temp 67-68 co2 1200 , hum around 55% temp 74-76 . What about your PH, PPM, ML/gallon, RO or Tap water, if tap water what is starting PPM before nutes? Is that light 645 watts? How far is it from plants? Is it dimmed?
Same, NL Cream, ive had red stems on all my plants grown under LED's.doing Northern lights have same on some plants yet totally green on others all on same system
Hey Man, I concer with xtsho, I would not worry about those purple stems. Purple stems can be genetic, caused by stress, environment or nute issues. You sound like you have things dialed in pretty well. If these are clones than they were stressed in the beginning so that could be all that's wrong. The new growth seems to be green so I would not worry. Your nutes seem a bit weak. My feed has been around 1100 since a few weeks before flip. I would lower the light down to around 30" at 50% , that's what I ran my HLG 600 at and the plants thrived. I would also think about pushing those nutes up a bit. I do coco drain to waste and according to feed chart should be around 600 to 800 but am closer to 1100 at present. Flipped to 12/12 Dec 1st, last feed lowered my micro and grow nutes but increased my bloom nutes so I could start lowering N. The plants really became pigs under the 600 watt LED. Just keep an eye on new growth and ignore the purple. If it's really an issue the plant will start to show other signs. So i use 3 stage filtere pom is 250 before adding nutes. Thank a lot i am planning on using house and garden when i flip to flower. I did 50% cuz im fighting algae on a roots so i though to give me lighter nute to not stress them out more and ues they were purple since they were clones. Now the wierd thing is they were 48 inches above at 50 and looked stresed thats why i raised them should i try raising intensity like 10 % maybe ? Sure, those dimmers are a great asset. I ran mine at 30", 300 watts until flip than at 24" and brought up to 100% over the course of a week and the plants reacted very well. They were from seed though so did not have the same stresses. It could also be the stress you saw was lack of nutes to handle the led. I ran my last run under HPS and fed 1/2 GH nutes their whole life, this time with new LED I am at more like 110 to 120 % GH suggested nutes. The LED really does make them want more food and higher temps. I would say up the lights a bit and just watch your new growth for signs of issues, just ignore the purple stems.Thank a lot i am planning on using house and garden when i flip to flower. So when u flip to 12/12 you lower them to 24 and raised to 100 % over a course of a week ? is it like 10 % every other day or 5 % everyday ? Im still learning how to manipulate lightsSure, those dimmers are a great asset. Forgot to post this dilution calculator. 3ppm in DWC. http://www.foodsafe.ca/dilution-calculator.htmlI do have a chiller. So how many ml of bleach u use ?
Yes, I just started turning up the dimmer about 40 watts per day, it's plugged into a kill a watt type device so I can see exact power draw. I also have a UV bar attached to the light which adds about 30 more watts so at present I am running 630 watts. Your process sounds like it will work well.So when u flip to 12/12 you lower them to 24 and raised to 100 % over a course of a week ? is it like 10 % every other day or 5 % everyday ? If its ok with u can u share what uv u bought and schedule ? I saw online something about running uv for 2 hr in flower per day or something similarYes, I just started turning up the dimmer about 40 watts per day, it's plugged into a kill a watt type device so I can see exact power draw. Depends on the UV and it's spectrum. I am running an HLG 600 with and HLG UV bar attachment. It's UVA and runs 12/12 the same as main light through whole flower cycle. If going with something like a Solacure, which is UVB, you would want to limit exposure to a couple hours a day. Reason being that UVB is more damaging. Only 5% of UVB makes it through the atmosphere and will damage plant cells. Both UVA and UVB will cause the plant to produce more trichomes to protect itself. Than you can get into very low band UVB, this will actually shock the plant which can increase potency of the THC but is also the most harmful to work with. Too much and you damage the plants cells. The UBA seems to we doing well, here is a pic 4 weeks after light change, it seems to be frosting up nice for being so young. If its ok with u can u share what uv u bought and schedule ? So uva is safer and can be run 12 hrs ?Depends on the UV and it's spectrum. I am running an HLG 600 with and HLG UV bar attachment.
