that was my point it works fine pushing....my filter is off ebay im 4 weeks into flower with 4 plants in a 4 foot wide by 8 foot long tent and no problems with smell, a little surprised as the filter size is a little small for my tent but to date all is good-)
actually that is optimal because high pressure goes to low pressure naturally so it actually just reduces the overall resistance of the filter and causes the air to be forced out, i find it uses the filter more evenly but your fans die alot faster, and good fans are expensive, filters are cheap..Pull.
You want the same pressure on both sides of the carbon so that the air gets evenly filtered.
Pushing through the filter causes high pressure on one side and low on the other, which isn't optimal.
Bernoulli, like the other guy said.
i came up with the simillar idea on my own. took me a bit of experimenting to figure out the best way and since my vent output is very small i blow into the box not the filter, then suck out the filter and vent outside. this is because of the heat needing tobe vented outside. i originally used to do what that video shows but without the box, just had the scrubber sitting outside or in my roofwatch this video on how to take a carbon filter, put it into a box, and make it not only scrub the smells but make the output very silent , its a 2fer deal
