Put a nail in the stalk the last 2 weeks before harvest to increase resin production?

No dont stick a nail in her. Just give her a lil dirty talk. They like that.

I guess they were doing it in the 60s I first heard about it in the 70s and then it took a few years to understand what they were saying.
Here's what they called it - "Suffering" You drive the nail in the stalk close to the bottom to make it suffer, and it produces something to protect it. That's all I can remember, I never had a stalk bigger than the nail!

Honestly, the quality genetics today requires very little additional "bounce". But it would appear that the more desperate the plant the more the resin -- but one must ask ones' self, what is the quality of the resin? You can increase so so resin, but it still remains just an "ok" high, you just get more. I guess that's a plus.

I actually had a belladonna a few years back and that little girl was frosty to the hilt. I did nothing, but mother nature provided very chilly nights that year (out door grow) and results were amazing.

Back in the day my friends grew the hydro and passed it off as Kona Gold -- it worked and was sold by the gram for $10. Funny, I also remembered tasting Purple Kush back then, it just wasn't called PK? A lot has changed because of the "hot house" indoor growing craze. I still believe in out-of-doors, as long as your climate is right and you pamper the soil. Yummy and natural, no fake lime-like look and weird perfume taste. In sum, today's strains are all pretty much good, no matter. Hence, years ago it was just strains like Jamaican, Acapulco Gold, Columbian Gold and yes Afghan and remember Mexiomacon (sp). Most all the weed had seeds, but laid you out on the floor after a few bowls. Those were the days. But today has finally caught up, with pricing as well. I used to give away seeds, now they charge around $10 per seed for decent genetics -- what do you know?
