Python kills two boys

This is news and politics. And it happened in Canada. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/world/americas/article3835432.ece

I was struck by the fact that safety is a myth. My wife for example is someone who thinks Zero Risk.
But, she will get out on a zipline if it is "really safe."

We live in a "really safe" neighborhood, she'll say. I just shrug, and say, "safer."

There is less and less safety, as we move more and more Libertarian against the Royalists....oh Yes.

The backlash is nothing compared to what happened to these little kids sleeping above a Pet Store.

And it wasnt even the son of the petshop owner, just his two friends.
Aint that a bitch, that kid's gonna grow up with some sort of SERIOUS baggage, I feel for him.

This is nothing but a tragic and very rare occurrence. I feel for the family/friends of those kids and the parents who were hosting them. By all accounts this was a somewhat more aggressive variety of python and some extra precautions should've been taken to ensure the security of the enclosure and store considering kids are sleeping upstairs - this is where the owner will cop some flack and will be fined and probably sued too...

Now as you claim there is less and less safety I don't think this story would be a good example to base that on as animal attacks are going to happen regardless. While I agree that individual safety is diminishing, whether perceived or not I don't think much could've been done apart from the abovementioned in this case, I would not advocate for increased or new regulation to stop a repeat, as statically, getting strangled to death in your sleep by a python has gotta be up there in "act of god" category

Seems a bit Shady that the 2 friends died, and not the owners son? why wouldn't all the kids be sleeping in the same room?
I hope they really investigate this.
I used to have a 18' Burmese python, and he was never aggressive like that. Reticulated pythons and Anacondas can be aggressive

I don't believe in acts of God. Murder maybe. And so what if it is a tenuous example? It's a thread.

So, Royalists would outlaw snake ownership and Libertarians would outlaw Royalists.

That's my point. I think a 3rd party swing effort, like the Tea Party with simply swing the PUBS to LIBTARNS

It is Cristo vs Rand. Forget the snake.

The point is the battle is firming up and the evangelicals don't seem a part of it.

See the snake as an attention grabbing headline. :)

and even that was scary sleeping lol.

imagine the poor kids waking up to that thing tightening like a mother fucker.

that is if it actually happened. sounds pretty unlikley the snake would get 2 kids b4 someone woke up?

Something smells here

Python crawls through ducts from down stairs to kill 2 boys? Wouldn't it kill one, then proceed to eat it? I mean do they kill for the hell of it?

I'm sorry but most snakes like pythons don't act aggressive unless they are being mistreated or starved. Unless the person hosting owned the pet store they should not be spoken badly of. Imagine how shitty they must feel...

linking to articles that require login to read past the fold is bullshit and you should be publicly flogged.
Geeze, that is fucked up. I thought that was the end of the article. I'm so used to the AP version. :)

OK. Sentence?
