Qb288 or clu48-1216

Currently using cxa3070 leds I've had for a couple of years Looking for an upgrade at roughly 300w.

for 6x clu48-1216 3500k 90 cri leds, Heatsinks, drivers & shipping looking at $280.
For 2x qb288 boards a HLG-320-54 and shipping about $320.

From peoples experience would this be worth paying the extra for the quantum boards? Seen some really nice diaries under both the high cri citi leds and the quantum boards both have there merits, But the efficiency and spread are certainly drawing me to the quantum boards just unsure whether to pull the trigger.

What do you guys think?

based on die count youd probably need 3 1216s to match one QB in efficiency, so your 6 vs 2 comparison up there should yield similar results, and your decision probably comes down to
1. cooling solution. if you go passive pin fins on cobs it drives heatsink cost up vs bar extrusions or active coolers. also how hard you are running each setup determines extent of heatsink required for both boards and cobs
2. are the chips youre looking at avaialble in the colors you want

its probably wise to take any journals with a grain of salt, good growers do fine with either tech and it seems to come down to other differences like grower skill and attention to garden which isnt always comparable from garden to garden

I just about to get man i trying to get deal now but hes not haveing it 1216 i like 1212 but 50watt is swweet spot so we need up to 1216 so i got a fix for u u whant wab page will talk bul lmk if u like sand a like my way if u do will have to get some i got to ther 13000lum to 24000lum but no cob holders tape only sucks i no here pic there 8cash lol and 4k 47k or5k so [
