By mentioning my surprise at your intolerance, in no way was that meant or should be taken as me suggesting I'm tolerant. I don't think I've ever portrayed myself as anything but the opposite, mostly. Lo siento, but no 'gotcha' moment there. :mrgreen:

And you are right about my beliefs. Tolerance, to me, implies a degree of acceptance, and often an endorsement. In many areas, I have no tolerance, nor am I supposed to have.

But of the two of us, I'm not the one who ever made excuses for the criminal non-white-non-priviledged, so as to keep that clear. ;-)

If you really think so. I know you just wanna go out about white apology but the nuances of that conversation would simply elude you. Besides that tour doesn't start until black history month ;)

Amos, where I think the confusion lies is what you consider TY to be intolerant of. He doesn't seem to disagree with you that he is intolerant to some extent. But it would appear that like myself it is not stupidity that he cants stand it is the ignorance of having the means to better yourself and not seizing that opportunity.

TY, I think amos is just trying to knock you off your grammar high horse lol. My spelling is usually pretty solid (except on here since I use my phone a lot, but I am the guy you ask how to spell shit if you have no idea lol), but punctuation and sentence structure can elude me at times. While I agree with you, some of thump's post need a rosetta stone lol, nice guy but seems like he just types quick as hell, you are not their superior in any form so the judment is not always needed. Although you getting your head ripped off just for asking for clarification was odd, some people just dont appreciate criticism on any level, like yo mama said "if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all"

Now can we get back to discussing shit that matters like the senate's findings on cia interrogation policy. I mean it is no surprise, I have known since the inception of the "war on terror" that we were doing things like water boarding and worse. I never supported it but our elected officials have made it clear they are the ones in power and will do with it as they see fit.

It kinda pains me to say this, but Amos does make a valid point here.

If you are going to use "lack of access to a quality education//shitty schools/shitty parenting" as an excuse for poor behaviour on the part of inner city folks, then that should also be taken in to consideration when it comes to someones shitty spelling too.

I'm not asking for APA formatting, simply the ability to read and comprehend ones posts is all. It's difficult to converse if everything's one long run on sentence with errors up to wazoo. I'm not taking out my red pen :)

Yeah I saw that thread and was gonna reply but that politics section usually turns threads into a shit show even if they had some worth in the politics section.
Its fucking despicable the lengths some will go to in order to make others feel unwelcome. Another victory for the "don't tread on me" crowd, or should I say the "dont tread on my rights to let a innocent human being die because of my religious beliefs, hypocratic oath be damned...:dunce:
