the temperatures outside arent that hot here right now but when we do have those heat waves that 400 heats up the whole upstairs!! but in 12/12 i dont really stress over heat problems cuz it always has night to keep cool!! i do have a fan by the bottom of the bucket aimed up blowing on the plant and i leave it on 24/7 so at night cycle hoping it gets cold in there so my plant will purple.. but i looked at flo grows method of using a cooler & thats an awesome idea just duno about a lid cuz you wouldnt have to paint bucket to stop light from penetrating and it naturally keeps things cold might try that method within the next couple of grows!!

Lowes and Home Depot carry the insulated styrofoam in various degrees of thickness.
I went with the 2 inch for max insulation and then wrapped them in ALUMINUM FOIL TAPE, not Duct Tape.
The 4ft x 8ft sheet costs about $22 last Summer.
Used a Butcher knife to cut to size as a lid, and a steak knife to make my holes using the bottom of the net pot as a stencil.

yeah man i have yet to have my crop not be up to par cuz of fluctuating temperatures but i guess the bud could be better in optimum conditions but i have to work with what i have for now!!
& flo that is a really good idea im deff going to try the cooler grow and never thought bout styrofoam as being the lid but thats and excellent idea i must say!! & did you grow that plant as your avatar??

Ive read that watering it with cold water during the last few weeks of its life will help induce purpleing. Not sure if its true...but I'll try it anyways.

My lids are the 2 inch styrofoam and I love it !
Thick enough to keep temps locked in and cool.

one of my buddies said he does it to his to let more light through so i had a little burn there and i just decided fuck it itll let light down more anyway.. not complaining so far except that it doesnt look as good but its whatever.. one of my buddies also said he would have cut the main stem before it started budding to let it just be one main canopy & the plant does look like a contact shape like an eye contact and that canopy would have gotten nice but good idea for later grow.
this is the best looking plant ive grown so far just in general everything is better about it.. not growing into the light burning some of my leaves, not too much burn, nice dense crystal covered colas at week 5!! the only thing left is for it to purple so i hope it does just a lil bit atleast.. ill be putting some pix up in a couple.
