This is my first harvest ever guys, so please try and bare with me. Just got done chopping down and manicuring the nuggs off of my first yield. Came out better than I had expected since all I did was watch youtube videos online to see how it was done. However, now I am faced with the problem of seeking out the many, many proper and preferred curing techniques out there. I looked up some youtube instructionals on the subject coming up to the harvest (although none were by any sort of "professional" grower which is why I'm worried), and made due with what I had to get a rig set up for it. I kept in mind the mason jar technique, since that seems to be the star option. But it takes far too long to finish the process and unfortunately I am not that patient. That being the case, I put together a kind of "middle of the road" deal.
So this is what I've got...
The buds are laid out evenly in a large tupperware container, which is lined with wax paper so that it will be easy to remove any kief/hash remnants left on the bottom. I made sure to leave enough slack on the paper so that it will hang over the lips of the tupperware to create a bit more of an airflow, as the lid is just placed on top without pressing it down to seal it completely. Just beside the buds I placed a small fan facing toward the ceiling to keep the air cycling in the area. It's also probably worth mentioning that they're placed in a small dark closet (I doubt the light has any effect, but you never know...) with one of the two sliding closet mirror doors half way open for ventilation. (And it smells incredible, even through the near sealed container)
If anyone has any notes on anything I might be doing wrong, and should change immediately, PLEASE respond ASAP! And if the set-up is okay it would be great to get some confirmation on it, just to ease my worried mind.
Thanks all!
