Question to Fat People!

Why are you so fat?

Seems like a weird question, but is food really that good?
Coming from a former fat person i can say its not as black and white as you may think...

I was fat most of my childhood. I blame myself to a certain extent but a good amount of it falls on the shoulders of my parents. (no this isnt some sob story but the truth)...

my parents use to feed me fast food as a normal part of my diet. im talking mickey d's, taco bell, jack in the box, pizza, burger king, wendy's etc. for years..it was considered "Dinner" at least 4 times per wk. this combined with the food they bought which was mostly chips, ice cream, etc (junk food in general).

I moved to a new house far from where i use to live in the middle of summer. i didnt know anyone so i sat inside all day and ate junk food. blew up like 30lbs over the course of one summer..

from there it got worse...i began spending my free time sitting at home...watching tv...eating junk...playing video games...etc

i thought this was normal though as many of my friends ate junk food, played video games, watched tv....etc.

It got so bad that i wore men's pants before i reached jr high...i was HUGE. 2nd biggest kid in the school.

Got so bad they took me to a "nutrition expert" who asked what i eat all day and my parents practically threw me under the bus. they never mentioned the fast food binges or the food they supplied at home.. just said how, "i get a balanced diet at home" and so on. i didnt think of it at the time (fast food/junk food being the problem as i was only 8 yrs old...how was i supposed to know it'll make you fat, etc)

finally at the age of 12 i was done with it...began exercising, eating less of what they ate at home and basically in the end i got in shape and everyone that lived with me ballooned up.

i use to get made fun of in school. fat ass, fat fuk, fat albert, titties, jelly rolls, kool aid (whenever i wore red) etc.

once when i was 8 i finished a half gallon of ice cream in one sitting...also could eat half a pizza to myself, etc. went to micky d's got 40 chicken nuggets a supersized fry, etc. go to jack in the box got an ultimate cheese burger, fries, milkshake, soda, etc.

i really ate it all..

now im 20 something. fit/active. the stretch marks have never went away completely (i have them on my sides, stomach, arms, legs, etc) and either have some of the scars of being the "fat kid" in school...now im just over 6ft tall and south of 200lbs...i workout 5 days a week complete with weightlighting and loads of cardio.

being fat (at least as a kid) isnt their fault. its more the responsibility of those who feed you. in my case my parents were lazy and decided going thru a drive thru was much easier than cooking a healthy meal. since them both my parents have had several illnesses due to being fat/weight problems. they continue to eat a diet high in salt, sugar, and fat (something i do my best to avoid).

i dont have sympathy though for grown adults who decide to eat like slobs...they're old enough to know right from wrong.

being an ex-fat ass i eye fuck every nutrition facts label on everything i buy. my diet consists of lots of fruits/veggies...some meat of course...mexican cooking (yay me i love mexican) tuna, etc. i try to eat as good as possible...no regular sodas...etc.

Short-term diet cycling during a weight loss and exercise program may be an effective way to promote weight loss without associated reductions in REE. In addition, preliminary findings indicate that the HP and HC diet approaches employed were equally effective.
HP - high protein HC - high carbohydrate REE - resting energy expenditure

If you really want to lose weight dont starve your BODY.... it needs the calories. lol Starve the fat. Cut back to a quarter of the carbs you were getting normally, and drop out all the fat in your diet. Well, most of it. That way you wont take on more fat, and you'll starve the fat you already have. =)
