Hello All, I am a newbe here, although I am not a newbe in growing, I have grown since before we had HID lighting and white plastic.

Hope I can give you some more.
With the advent of charcoal filtration we have had very little problem with odor. In every room I have help with, we have used white plastic on every wall and floor. A totally contained environment is what we are shooting for.
We can even now totally contain the growing space from the outside, whereas we alway had to vent to the outside before new innovations, now we do not. Although I like venting to the outside, so deciding the direction of vent flow is crucial.
If you have not put plastic up you might want to consider doing so. Even going over the plugins, as Ravioli suggested, you can still plug in right through the plastic. We even tape our staple holes and seams. Some of these rooms contain 60 hps lamps, so without venting, the odor can almost cause epiphora. Since we stand to lose so very much, it behooves us to find out all we can, in anyway we can, to keep ourselves running clean and free.
