Quick question for a newbie

Actually I have a quick or maybe more...this is my first grow in over 20 years, and I hope I am in the right place as I didn't see a section on greenhouses. I have an assortment of seed which I ordered from the tude and Herbies. My setup I'm using is a shower stall that's been painted gloss white, a T5HO 8000 lumen light fix, and a single 2700 lumen cfl. The strains I am working with is 1 Barney's farm liberty haze, 1 Blimburn northern auto(freebie), 1 purple cheese auto by Auto Seeds, and 4 THC Bombs from bomb seeds. My plans are to veg these indoors until I get my greenhouse finished then transfer the seedlings. The LH (small round pot) and the northern auto(small square pot) are at 1 week of age and seem to be flourishing well and are already on the third set of leaves. There looks to be some canoeing of the second set of leaves that I do t know the cause. The purple cheese auto (in larger round pot) and the 4 thc bombs(quad seed planter) are at 2 days. I keep the tops the LH and northern about 4 inches away from the the T5 bulbs and don't believe it's a heat issue that far from the bulbs. Any advise would be appreciated! Mahalo!

flat white reflects more light, the gloss is just a clear layer the light has to pass through and then bounce back through it. Not a biggie. As far as your leaves curling like that maybe too much water? I know they droop when thirsty and do something like that when they are almost drowning. Don't overdo it with the water, I like to pick up the pot and see how heavy it is.

I've been using greenhouses for over a decade. What are you going to skin your GH with? All my pix(thousands) in my grow threads were lost, due to some sort of crash here at rollitup, and I'm currently having 'puter issues. I'll try to answer any questions. Be patient, I'll get back to you, ASAP. Your plants are doing well. Get some blocks and keep all your plants equidistant from your light source. Transplant the little ones into one gallon pots when the third true set of leaves appear. Don't over water. When you feed, use 1/3 as much, twice as often. You're less likely to have nute issues.

it looks like your doing good so far. auto plants do weird things so if you see them not grow right,dont worry they just do funny things sometimes.. now the two that are growing like mad, thats a great sign to see,it means the have plant vigor. treat these ladys good and they will pay off for you in the end for sure. if you feel your soil with the little plants, is it warm??? you want the soil warm,not hot. also to much water on little seedlings can slow their growth. you want them to send roots out to find the water. also just remember that your Haze plant will take 10-12weeks to finish in flower, where the autos will finish in 8 week along with the purple cheese.

Mahalo to everyone for there advise. Before posting this thread I looked all through the forum for a possible cause and narrowed it down to either too much nitro or heat stress. So I moved the light up a couple more inches then flushed the two larger plants copiously with water to hopefully flush any nitro. The medium I'm using is black gold natural and organic potting soil w/fertilizer and General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow formula which the guy who sold it too me said I wouldn't burn my plants as long as I followed the directions for seedling feeding. The potting mix has a .05-0.0-0.0 and the mutes are 7-4-10. On the mites I did exactly what it said...1/2 teaspoon for a gallon of water and I didn't use very much on each of the two big ones. I probably should have left well enough alone as I couldn't believe the growth for just a week old.
Veggiegardener, I'm using corrugated skylight sheets for the roof and clear greenhouse plastic sheeting for the walls with a foot of screen material around the top where the roof meets the walls. Living where I do I would like to just leave outside but it gets too much rain in the "winter" here. I think we got over 120" last year so it a big difference from what I'm used to. I will update later when I get home from work and hopefully I have better news to report. Thanks again for everyone's advice and keep it coming!

Ok. If you haven't purchased the skin yet, I want to suggest you look at Solexx fabric. It is pricey up front, but has a ten year warranty. I just reskinned the roofs this year, after 11 years. The walls look like they are good for another decade. Since I own my home, I try to think long term.

One thing I've learned since I've been here is u tend to use what u can get ahold of...as the locals say "if can, then can...if no can, then no can".
It can take over a month sometimes to get specific supplies here. But I will check into it, as this is an 80% farming and ag island. So chances are they probably have or something similar.

Oh, and by the way, can anyone tell me what the procedure and purpose in using "coco" fiber? Just curious as I have probably 200-300 old coconuts lying on the ground on my property. I would sure hate to miss an opportunity if I can use it now before I transplant into bigger pots.

Do you have a way to grind them up? I may be wrong, because I've never tried soil replacements, but it is probably very low in existing nutrients. This gives the grower more control in feeding precise amounts of nutrients. I've found potting mixes and dirt work just fine.(I'm currently unable to post pictures, but my plants are currently over six feet tall, and extremely bushy.)I don't know if the coco coir is flushed to remove toxic compounds before sale. All questions worth asking before you try it.

Back in the 70s, some of the finest herb I've ever smoked came from the islands on 4-to-the-oz sticks. It is very hard to duplicate that volcanic soil, but I try.(I add volcanic ash. A friend brought me a bunch after St. Helens blew its top in 1980.)

Ya I agree but even tho I live on the windward side in a rain forrest, there is very little soil on this island, being the youngest island. I haven't hit any spot around that has more than 4-6 inches of soil before u hit lava rock. A lot of this island had a Martian landscape, I guess that's why NASA tests there new Martian rover designs here first. All slow moving lava flows that bubble up from fissures...no ash to speak of except from trees it burns in it's path. I'm close enough to it that insurance companies won't even insure my house because I'm in a lava zone. But it does offer a much better growing enviro as it stays 75-85 degrees year round.

Back to the plants tho,I repotted the two healthy girls into 3 gallon pots. Right before I did they seem to just stop growing out the top and concentrated their energies on growing out the nodes...whereas the cheese and the 4 thc bombs have nowhere near the growth the northern and LH did at a week. By the way the LH and northern recovered nicely by day 2 after flushing out the nutes that I added prematurely I guess. The LH has more indica I guess because the leaves are really fat compared to the northern that looks more sativa dom with skinny leaves. It's like they both stopped growing at the 5th set of leaves with growth starting at the nodes...funny little plants
