Ok I've upgraded from a 400w to. 600w cooltube
So question is do I go carbon filter cooltube inline then out of tent?

That's a bloody good pointAlways attach the filter to the input of the fan. That way you only have to worry about one joint being air-tight, the flange connecting the filter and fan. If you do it differently you run the real risk of venting the grow room smell out your ehaust.
Extra heat, bloddy good point there too.I have been told you can cook the fans over time if your pulling air through them. Ive always gone Filter - fan - cooltube - exhaust
or another way I used to do it, was to have a completely different fan that's ducted from outside the tent, drawing cold air over the bulb and then duct it out the side and out of the grow room area.Extra heat, bloddy good point there too.
i had a shop owner tell me something once about fans. said, "think of it as a chain. you pull the chain, it follows, no problem. you push the chain, things are a bit different." i have a fan for my filter, and a diff. one for my hood. For efficiency, its better to pull air, and never had a fan go out from exhausting lights.
I don't like this idea I had trouble keeping a 400w bulb cool with a wing setup bare bulbmy 2 cents - loose the cool tube, go bare bulb, fan blowing on bulb, suction out the tent to filter, cool air intake in front of tent. I like to keep anything that doesn't like heat and humidity outside of my tent. MD
Iam pulling through filter then into tube and out side or should I go filter onto tube then duct from tube to fan then out?Pushing air with fans is not efficient. Go filter, cool tube, fan, out... Pulling air better, if you can.
